Mike talked me through a shower cartridge replacement with the correct components since I had previously ordered some on Amazon and while they worked, they were not quite right. Mike asked me to call him later to make sure they were worked. Now my shower works like new. Great place! Terrific customer service.”
“For truck drivers... entrance is the west gate. Pull up to the gate and call the number posted. Pretty easy backing. Unload time is about an hour. Getting to the delivery can have some tight turns but overall not bad.”

“Aside from the fact that they have pretty much everything you need if you're making a small run to the hardware store and they've got some really premium lumber, but beside that they have one of the best cashiers I have ever encountered. He has joke after joke and is always smiles. He will literally brighten your day. He is one of the biggest reasons why I choose to come in to this ace versus going to any other hardware store. He really deserves a raise or some type of promotion or bonus.”

““This location has the BEST customer service I’ve seen in a long time. I had my sump pump go out late last night. I called the store, and I apologize, but I don’t have the associate's name. I shared my dilemma of needing a sump pump. He immediately checked to ensure he had one in stock. I asked if he would wait for me as I would arrive after closing. Not only did he wait for me after closing, but the team had everything ready at the register. I’m in retail as well, and it’s great to see that businesses still go above and beyond for their customers."”

“I had broken the elbow off my bathtub drain shoe while trying to get the drain out. Spent days trying to find a replacement on the Internet. Failed a couple times. Decided to go to Harlem plumbing. The salesman took a couple seconds, and gave me everything I needed.Drain fixed!I had the slip joint nut and plumbers putty already. He had, the shoe the drain and the gasket for me. Very happy with the service.”

“I became old yesterday and it was glorious. I inherited some wood working equipment. I went into a place where older distinguished men can teach me about woodworking, equipment, and tools. Skills that took years, splinters, blood sweat and tears to acquire. This is not building a hot rod piece by piece. This is choosing stock, measuring and planning. “Contacted Holland Hardware for repair of a damaged dining chair. Because the dining table is pretty old (it was purchased used over 40 years ago) replacing it with a new chair would have required custom building at a high price. Holland was able to repair the split wood, install new dowels to replace the broken ones, and reattach the broken leg to proved a sturdy, solid dining chair.they did this in a timely fashion at a very reasonable cost. we are very pleased with the service.”

“Happened into this True Value just to get some light bulbs for the kitchen fan. Just to give you an idea, the fan in my kitchen looks like it could have hung in the kitchen on the Fresh Prince or the Golden Girls. That's pertinent because the bulbs were really specific and vintage looking. I ended up being helped by Jason, the owner of the hardware store. He was extremely knowledgeable and even pointed out that I had the wrong ol' lady bulbs in my hand for the ceiling fan. We traded a little small talk after that and then his equally helpful wife helped me ring up my purchase.I really just wandered in here wanting to avoid going to Home Depot. I appreciated the opportunity to support this small business and meet/connect with its owners. I surely intend on going back whenever I need more hardware stuff for my home.”
