“I was so upset when I didn’t see the garage door half way down and backed into it causing damage to the bottom panel. Car was stuck and I panicked. I called Better Door and Window and Pete was so kind and understanding. He said he would see what he could do thought all workers were on jobs. I called again and he still was patient. At four pm on a sweltering day, Tom showed up and fixed the door. I am so grateful. I have always received kindness along with great professional services. Thank you to each and every one of you”

“The workers who installed our new storm door were great. Friendly, knew what they were doing. Gave me instructions on how to get the sliding window to function. Home Depot did initially deliver an incorrectly sized door and an incorrect handle. However, the installation guys immediately returned to Home Depot and got the correct items and installed them in less than an hour. I'm really happy with the process. Their installation services are reasonably priced and have already saved me twice from having to find a contractor or handyman to do the work.”

“Menard's is a home improvement store that is larger than you prepared for, every single time, despite having been to Menard's before. You enter through doors that part for you automatically, as if the store has been expecting you, which in a revenue-based sense it has. The cart you select rattles in a specific way that is unique to your cart and yet familiar to all Menard's carts, as though they share a common rattling ancestry.
The store continues in every direction for what can only be described as a while. Lumber is somewhere. Plumbing is somewhere else. The relationship between these two locations involves walking, and the walking is significant. Signs hang from the ceiling indicating departments, and you look at them and nod and then proceed to get lost anyway in a way that feels predetermined.
Items are available in quantities that suggest Menard's has considered the possibility that you might need more than one of something, and has acted on this consideration aggressively. The savings, which are big and money-adjacent, are communicated through yellow signage that appears throughout the store at a frequency that can only be described as committed.
A lumber yard exists outside and requires a separate trip that you did not originally plan for but have now accepted as part of the process. You accept it the way one accepts weather.
An employee was visible at one point near an aisle that was not the aisle you needed. This was no one's fault.
You will leave with things you came for and several things you did not come for, and the total will be a number.”

I came in for a cutting board for my vegetables. And had a peaceful experience. I am going to give Menards in Homewood a 5 star review. For cleanliness. Furthermore it had the best price as well, with or without their eleven percent off. Sales clerk walked us to the exact model from their Online ad. Staff loaded it to the car and positioned it expertly.”

“Ben, a manager, took care of me tonight. I came to the store from a far distance to buy several rolls of insulation that I saw displayed on their website for 18.97. When I arrived we couldn’t find the same item because this location didn’t carry it. I was quite a bit annoyed because I screenshot the item and it was $4.50 less than the other. Ben immediately assured me he would make the price adjustment on each item. He loaded up the big cart and packed the items in my car. I was amazed at his diligence, kindness, customer service and genuine natural ability to lead. It’s people like Ben who remind you of how a customer should be valued. That’s exactly how Ben treated me, like my business with Lowes mattered. He did everything right. Even when I was driving away I saw him picking up plastic that someone let get away in the parking lot. He is a gem and an honorable man. I value him.”
