We ,also ,shop at Aldi's in Mattoon and are Highly,Satisfied with The job that Nicole and her staff do to make shopping FUN.
We lived in Germany for years while stationed in the Army. Discovered Aldi's there. Very Pleased. Never expected to see it in the States.

“Usually very well organized and stocked! Sometimes the Aldi Special Aisles (AOS) get a little hectic with the overwhelming offerings of products, but also a great range of regular produce, dry goods, dairy, meats, and frozen goods. All the employees there are friendly and helpful. Bryan and Nick were working today and were great help to customers!”

“Nice large grocery store, we stop here whenever we are nearby. I can definitely recommend for your grocery needs. Helpful staff, clean deli, and nice meat department. Only complaint would be there's no obvious signs pointing to the restroom in the store. Its located upstairs in the mezzanine on the right when you first walk in. They do have stairs as well as elevator access to the top. The small red kiosk on the right of the door in the entrance is also something i recommend first time goers check out. They have quite a few good recipes available to print. Prices are higher then walmart however its a much better experience.”
“Since the remodel I think the checkout process is much quicker. I use regular checkout and rarely have to wait as others are using the enlarged self checkout area. Employees are friendly and so helpful when I can't find something..the remodel definitely improved shopping for me. I hope the damage from the storm is fixed soon, especially the deli.”
