“Went in today just to look and get a feel for a new bike and ended up working with Scott who was hands down one of the nicest people I have ever interacted with in a bike shop. I was worried because I had some dumb questions and Scott did not make me feel dumb at all. He understood exactly what I was asking and provided clear explanations without making me feel dumb. Even though I went in with no intention to buy a bike today, I left with a deposit put down on a dream bike thanks to how excellent my experience was. I cannot recommend this shop enough. Thanks comrades.”
“I came here just to poke around and check out the bikes, as I don't own a bike but want to buy one soon. When I asked a staff member for their opinion on what types of bikes to check out, they very kindly explained what kinds of bikes would suit me best, what sizes might work best, the differences between frame types, and so on. They also held a bike in place for me so I could sit on it and test out the fit. I'm glad I stopped by for advice.”

“They are the BEST!! I don’t take my bike anywhere else. I came in expecting to need to replace a bunch of parts, and Brian was able to repair everything same day. Vibe is excellent, the cute dog helps. Visit them! ?????”
“They make the Impossible Possible. Extremely Knowledgeable and Friendly. Easily accessable location with Free street parking in front. They have the parts and knowledge to fix all your problems. I took my bike here to have a newly purchased Crank Set installed (unfortunately not purchased here, it was a Christmas Gift). They were quick to notice the manufacturer did not include the Hollow Bearing Bottom Bracket. They proceeded to work with me by offering to sell me one, or wait until the manufacturer shipped the missing one that should have been included. They were also able to swap out my rims for the New Carbon SuperTeam Rims I got for Christmas. Which was not as simple as one may think considering they required valve extensions. The first Bike Shop I went to (closer to home) told me they couldn't do it.
*I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BICYCLE SHOP FOR ALL YOUR NEEDS ?”
“Fantastic shop! I bought my Velotric e‑bike here and I'm so glad I did vs online! When I had an accident on my second ride right after my purchase, they took care of the repairs at no charge. They didn’t have to it wasn't their fault, but they did. That’s real customer service. Thank you, Rich, Chris, Bill and Aaron!”

“If you need a cargo bike, this is the place to go if you are even remotely proximate to Chicago. The staff is incredible and prices are fair (some accessories/components are even below MSRP). Their customer service is the best in the city, not just in the LBS sphere, but for any customer facing business. I've bought bikes from multiple local bike shops in Chicago and elsewhere, and Offbeat is by far the most pleasant. You won't get a hint of superiority or aloofness from the staff at Offbeat, which can be common in other bike shops.”
“I am very satisfied and happy with the services that I have received here. I took my folding bike in for a tune-up, they had my bike ready the next day. Definitely will be coming back again if I need to have anything taken care of on my bicycle.”
“These guys are amazing! They took me back to the childhood. They hooked up bikes with the kid trailer, and it was perfect. So many great emotions on the ride, all thanks to these guys. And the prices are reasonable. Thank you very much for everything!”
“Communication 5/5 - they text you any time they have a question about the bike, whether you want to okay an expense, and when it's time to pick it up.
Friendly 5/5 - They knew my face by the second service! I've also asked really easy, borderline embarrassing, questions and they always go into a thorough explanation without any of the condescension.
Timing 5/5 - they are really fast! They get to my bike anywhere from under 12 hours, and up to 72 hours.
Flexibility 5/5 - whenever I can't pick up my bike, they're really nice about waiting for me
Knowledge 5/5 - they always have the answers to my questions”
“This place is awesome. Super knowledgeable, and can answer all your questions about their products. The selection is very fair and had exactly what I wanted. Shoutout to Adam for the great experience. I will be back!”
“Took my XL e-bike for a new tire as well as spokes for my wheel. The people there all have excellent customer service and I will be returning for future business”
“Marcus is great . He took me in as a walk in and treated me like family . He diagnosed my bike problem in seconds . He is very knowledgeable about all things bikes !”
“Overdue praise. Village Cycle is my primary bike shop. Without exception, they always have done me right ... integrity of the work, the cost, and patience in explanations to my overly-inquisitive customer self. I'm relieved I live JUST close enough to walk there every time I get a flat tire!”
“My son and I came to the shop to get a few things that he needed service on his bike, walking in we were greeted by a nice older couple. , once the man seen how bad my son needed his bike fixed. He went right to work on it, we waited like 20mins & within those minutes we enjoyed conversations with the wife, the time went by fast and the service was great. They helped out with both inter tupe tire and he replace a front tire , a new chain and a seat , the over all experience was great fast and enjoyable. We will be returning if we need any bike service done 10/10 ?”
“My case manager signed me up for the Cycle of Power Program and I quickly received a refurbished bicycle, bike lock, lights, and helmet! It rides like a dream and is enabling me to commute to from point a to point b with ease. I can now doordash on my new bike and I'm getting back into shape. Thanks working bikes. I love your mission.”
“I have a 1988 Nishiki mountain bike. It hadn’t been ridden in quite a few years. Carmen tuned up the bike by replacing brakes and dry rotting tires (from 1996!). Carmen suggested a hybrid tire capable of street riding along with gravel road traveling. A true cross-country tire.”
“Went in this morning to get a helmet. The owner (the original Gary's son?) was incredibly kind and helpful. I was so happy to visit and give my business to a local bike shop here in town. The owner said the place has been open for about 78 years! I'm so happy to see places like this still in business. He's got a great variety of bikes and accessories and maintenance tools that you'd need, so definitely swing by!”
“I use John’s Hardware whenever I need to purchase tools and supplies. I purchased a used bike and the customer service was rather subpar. After I was finally informed that my bike was ready I tested it and realized the wheels were not aligned properly. I will continue purchasing tools and supplies as needed. Anything related to bicycle’s I’m going to find another bike shop.”
“Had a wonky loose seat issue on a newer bike that I purchased at another bike shop. I didn't have the tool on me to do the tightening and still had several miles to get home, so I took a gamble and stepped into this shop. They took care of me right away, tightening up the seat bolt, offering advice, and they didn't charge me anything for taking the time to do so. These folks get a big thumbs up from me for their customer service! I'll be back in the future when I need something for my bike and I'll be happy to support a business like this.”
“my first time visiting to get a flat/punctured tube replaced. I thought for sure I would have to leave my bike overnight as it was about 15 minutes to closing time. he was able to fix it for me straight away.”
“I brought my daughter's bike in for a repair. The kind gentleman there, fixed it right away and educated me as well. He also refused to let me pay. Thank you! My daughter will be very happy to see her bike up and running!!”
“We’ve been to 4 other bike shops today looking for an E Bike for my mom. Met with mediocre customer service from all shops until we found Kozy! Luis was incredible! So nice, not pushy, and so quick to answer questions and get us exactly what we were looking for. We’ll definitely be back to this shop for all future bike needs! We weren’t even looking to actually buy one today but we ended up walking out of the door with one. Shows how far great customer service can go. Thanks again Luis and team in the service department!”

“I’m a barber at Rosehill Barbershop, and I just have to share how great Robert is! He’s super friendly and really knows his stuff. The whole team there is fantastic—knowledgeable and experienced. I’ve bought a few things from them and had my bike serviced multiple times, and each experience has been spot on. Plus, their prices are very reasonable! If you live around here like I do, this is definitely your go-to community bike shop. Stop by and check it out! You won’t be disappointed!”
“Danny's a real one. He's about service, not business. Prices are fair and my bike is super now :) Happy to find his shop in my neighborhood! I know who to reccomend when it comes to bikes!!”
