“I recently visited Macy’s and had such a wonderful experience that I felt compelled to share!
From the moment I entered, I was impressed by the store’s organization and the welcoming atmosphere. The layout is easy to navigate, making it simple to find everything from clothing to home goods.
I especially appreciated how the different departments are clearly labeled and thoughtfully arranged, it really saves time when you’re shopping for multiple things.
The staff at Macy’s were exceptionally helpful and friendly.
One associate went out of their way to help me find the perfect outfit, offering styling tips and suggestions without being pushy.
Their professionalism and warmth really stood out and made my shopping experience enjoyable.
A highlight of my visit was the historical Christmas decorations exhibition on the 7th floor.
It was absolutely stunning!
The decorations showcased Macy’s long tradition of celebrating the holidays, with elegant displays that felt magical and nostalgic.
Walking through it truly made me feel the festive spirit.
I also learned a fun historical fact:
Macy’s flagship store used to be part of the Marshall Field & Company legacy.
Marshall Field was famous for his motto,
“Give the lady what she wants,” and he helped set a standard for customer service that Macy’s still embodies today.
The store’s architecture and design reflect that rich history, with beautiful details that make shopping there feel special.
Macy’s has a fantastic variety of products.
Whether you’re looking for classic wardrobe staples, trendy fashion pieces, or unique home décor items, there’s something for everyone.
I spent quite some time exploring the beauty section, and the testers and samples made it easy to choose products with confidence.
The checkout process was smooth and efficient, and I appreciated the attention to detail when packaging my items.
Overall, my visit to Macy’s was not just a shopping trip, it was a memorable experience that felt both personal and thoughtful.

“Typical target store. It’s awesome to have in the city. Plenty of parking in their garage, and rooftop garage access. Good selection of items and always well staffed. The service is pretty good considering you’re downtown Chicago. The store also feels safe instead of a sketch zone ?
Groceries are always fresh as well. The alcohol selection is always well stocked”

“Nice for a large for a city store. Some of the shelves were not well-stocked. Seemed like there was product missing in some areas, especially cosmetics. Good selection of brands for men, women, and children, overalll. Shoe section was large. Staff was friendly. The only way down today was the elevator as the down escalator wasn't working. That made it challenging for us with a wheelchair as everyone was using the elevator. But people were friendly about it. Hopefully the store landlord can fix the elevator soon with summer crowds incoming.”
“Five Below is one of my favorite stores to browse—it’s the perfect mix of fun, affordability, and variety. Every time I walk in, I find something new, whether it’s trendy tech accessories, home decor, fitness gear, snacks, or seasonal items. It’s honestly amazing how much you can get for just a few dollars.
What I love most is that the store feels upbeat and inviting. The layout makes it easy to explore, and everything is clearly labeled. It’s great for grabbing last-minute gifts, stocking stuffers, school supplies, or just treating yourself without breaking the bank.
The quality of the items has always surprised me—especially for the price. Their phone cases, wireless speakers, art supplies, and even beauty products are way better than you’d expect for under $5. And now that they carry some items in the $5–$10 range, the options are even better without losing the budget-friendly vibe.
The staff is always friendly and helpful, and checkout is quick and easy. I also appreciate how they keep the store clean and well-organized, even when it’s busy.
Five Below is one of those places you can walk into for one thing and come out with a bag full of great finds—and you still feel like you got an awesome deal. It’s fun for all ages and honestly just a feel-good place to shop. Highly recommend stopping in if you haven’t.”

The location is convenient, easy to access, and the mall is spacious, clean, and well-organized. “Very warm and cozy store. I think the atmosphere was really great. It felt kind of nostalgic going in there. Because of all the trunkets and knickknacks that you see when you first walk in and then, of course, they have the department stores set up it just felt like, you know. Yes, the year for me. I was able to find some of the things that I was looking for in my visit. So I was able to get most things I needed. Even a few things that I didn't anticipate purchasing. But overall pricing, wise, I didn't realize how affordable this store was. So I will be returning as I do. Find quite a few items in there. That I would love to purchase to enhance my kitchen and culinary skills. And they definitely have plenty of parking.And as far as customer service go I think everybody was generally friendly.Smiles on their faces could have used a little bit more.Hey, do you need any help?I feel like that was kind of lacking but other than that customer service was not appalling.It was pretty decent, and if you from chicago, you know what?Descent is l o l smiley face.
