The Hilton Chicago is an amazing hotel in a very good, great location, within walking distance of many main attractions, restaurants, and parks like Millennium Park. The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out, and very safe with visible security. The staff are wonderful, kind, courteous, and possibly the best. Rooms are overall in excellent shape, not dated, and everything works. They are described as both spacious and a touch small but acceptable, with comfortable beds, though some find them a bit rough. A notable issue for some guests is that the temperature in the room can stay too hot. The hotel features an Irish pub with great food, drinks, and ambience, though it can be pricey. Breakfast is also available, though subject to closures. A major point for future travelers is the cost of parking, which is not included and can be a shock, with hotel self-park at $65 and valet at $85, though cheaper self-park exists nearby. The mandatory destination fee is also cited as ridiculous and unreasonable. The pool water is noted as a bit cold. The hotel serves as a very nice venue for events and is exquisitely decorated for holidays, contributing to a pleasant stay.
Babs is the best! Checking in and making sure we were good even though we didn’t ask. Over and beyond! And very sweet!
