Loyola Park is a great little park and sprawling 41-acre venue on the outskirts of Chicago, offering both a traditional park experience and Lake Michigan beachfront. It is a lovely beach with soft sands and crystal-clear waters that are a tad cleaner than other lakeside beaches. The countless amenities include baseball fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, sand volleyball plots, a playground, a beachfront promenade, and a walking/running trail. A rec center boasts a gym, boxing ring, and woodworking shop. People enjoy the row of over 150 painted benches, relax under the willow tree, and chill with their dogs. It is the perfect spot to unwind, providing an idyllic setting for relaxation and enjoyment.

A really small park with a lovely beach and peninsula including a small lighthouse. Short walking trail around natural area. Mural wall to check out local art. Not much parking. There is a small paid lot and it’s a but expensive.
