The National Hellenic Museum is a fascinating place in Chicago to learn about Greek culture, heritage, and the Greek American experience. The museum highlights the Greek American community and shares the stories of everyday people finding their way in a new home. Exhibits are interesting, well-curated, and informative, providing a great mix of history, art, and stories. Collections include artifacts, Greek parade photos, and sculptures of Greek women. It is not a huge museum but is thoughtfully organized, clean, and offers a good variety. The admission price is reasonable. Visitors will find a small souvenir shop with nice items and a rooftop that offers a great spot for photos with views of Chicago. The museum provides a worthwhile visit for anyone interested in cultural history or looking for something unique, offering a good snapshot of different livelihoods and Greek-American cultural heritage.
I went there during Open House Chicago. The museum has interesting collections about Greek history and culture. The area is clean and well organized. There’s also a small souvenir shop with nice items to take home. The rooftop offers a great spot to take photos with views of the Chicago area.

This museum celebrates the culture, history art and the Greek American Experience. Their exhibits were interesting especially the Greek Parade photos from the 80’s. I also enjoyed the sculptures of heroine Greek women.
