Sundarbans Fish Bazar is a store offering a decent range of Bangladeshi and Bengali products. It is good for Bengali foods, featuring a collection of frozen fish, including hilsha fish, with almost all kinds available. The store does not sell fresh fish. It also has a good meat section with halal beef, goat, and chicken, though some note the prices for fish and meat can seem a little bit expensive. Other items include Bangladeshi frozen food, sweets, spices, rice, chips, biscuits, pickles, desserts, cooking utensils, and special yogurt. The owner and workers provide good and helpful response, allowing for pre-orders. A major convenience is the ability to park right in front of the store. However, the store is extremely unclean and dirty, with a visibly dirty floor and a very bad smell. The restroom is notably not recommended. While prices are similar to other ethnic shops, for Bangladeshi groceries it is a great option, though some wish for more variety.

Great place to find fresh fish, halal meat, and authentic Bangladeshi groceries on Devon Avenue. The selection of fish like Rohu and Hilsa is impressive, and the staff is generally friendly and helpful. A convenient spot for anyone looking for traditional South Asian ingredients in Chicago.
