    “Places like this are why I love living in Chicago. Tucked into the back of a nondescript convenience store is one of the best places in the city to get a sandwich. They use freshly baked bread and high-quality ingredients, serve generous portions, and charge prices so reasonable that you’ll think you’ve traveled back to 2007. It isn’t fancy; it’s just tasty. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel like you’re there for “the usual,” even if it’s your first visit. Sure, Uptown Deli might not be your choice for a first date, but by the third or fourth, it should be the place you stop for sandwiches, chips, and drinks before a picnic by the lake.”

    “We live in the neighborhood and Agora is our go-to spot for fresh produce, meats and seafood. We love the selection from the butcher/fishmonger (the chipotle chicken burgers are awesome and we get the rainbow trout weekly!) and their deli section is awesome as well for both sandwiches and other premade salads/apps. Super friendly staff too and great selection of creative pantry staples, sauces and spices. If you love to eat and like to cook, this is definitely the grocery store for you!”

If you’re planning to get their fresh, homemade guacamole, be sure to call ahead and place your order. The prices are very fair compared to nearby grocery stores, and it’s always a pleasure shopping here thanks to the quality, value, and friendly service. Staff speak both Spanish and English which is a bonus! Highly recommend this place.”

I would definitely shop there if I lived in the neighborhood. It's not five stars only because selection is limited for certain brands (e.g. I was looking for Lactaid milk but they didn't have any though they have non-dairy alternative milk). I expect their selection will grow as the store grows and they did have a few gourmet-type items that I was pleasantly surprised to see.”

I understand it probably wasn’t the most profitable, but it was the main reason I’d go here sometimes instead of Agora (I’m a lot closer to Agora) because their mac salad sucks. I still like Olivia’s a lot, but I was definitely coming in large part for the macaroni salad. Even my mom, who hates pasta salad, liked your cheddar mac salad. I doubt it will come back but I wanted to make my voice heard (: love your flower selection though!!”

I've lived in this neighborhood for like 13 years and they've been there whenever I need to grab something quick, more complex, have questions, need help, to scare away creepy men following me around, and everything in between. This day and age, its so special & rare to have a place you feel safe & seen and know has your back. I feel like I'm in a small town rather than a big city whenever I stop in. Zach is amazing. I cannot sing his praises enough and I owe him my life TBH lol. His brother Sam is the sweetest, so is his wife, and all the crew that work there are just incredible, helpful, funny and supportive.     “Ive had Serrellis beef and sausage for countless birthdays and family get togethers. There's no other place I can think of a that's still around of having consistently since single digit years. Went a few days ago and got their sausage after many years and it was phenomenal. They have Italian and European foods I dont commonly see. Just an absolute top notch store. Their chicken parm is peerless. If anyone reading this is sick of how portillos has become since new ownership go to Serrellis. My only wish is that they were opened later because they're closed by the time I get off work but totally understand.”

I really love their dried plums, dried apricots and uncrystallized candied ginger. They have some great snacks.   • Walmart Expands 30-Minute Delivery to 33 Markets

    Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
