The Willows Hotel is an older hotel with a ton of charm and ambience. It is a charming little hotel in a great, mainly residential neighborhood that is not touristy at all. The building is obviously older, which is part of its charm, and it is maintained well. Rooms are super clean with very comfortable beds and are thoughtfully appointed with nice amenities. The rooms have unique floor plans, often resulting in extremely large rooms, and some feature bathtubs. The heating system may buzz slightly. Noise from neighbors or outside can vary. The staff is amazing, extremely polite, welcoming, friendly, attentive, and helpful. The wonderful lobby is small but quiet, with a homey ambiance and a fire. There is fresh, free, and surprisingly good coffee available there, along with a microwave. While rooms lack coffee makers, the lobby is easily accessible. The location offers excellent walkability, with tons of little shops, restaurants, and good food within walking distance. Anything needed is within a 10-minute walk, including a Trader Joe's and a CTA transit connection. It is also a great location for a quick ride to Wrigley. Parking at a garage around the corner is very easy. The hotel is recommended for solos, couples, and people visiting friends or family in the neighborhood.
