Walgreens offers a range of services including prescription refills, health and beauty product shopping, and photo printing. The store hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 9 pm, and on weekends from 9 am to 1 pm, with a brief afternoon closure. Customers generally find the staff friendly and helpful, especially in the pharmacy and cashier areas. Many reviews highlight the helpfulness and patience of pharmacy staff, with some noting that employees go above and beyond to advocate for patients and provide personal service. However, experiences with staff can vary; some customers report very positive interactions, while others describe encounters with rude or unhelpful individuals. One reviewer shared disappointment with a pharmacy employee who was dismissive and rude, leading to a complaint. Others mention that pharmacy wait times can be long, sometimes up to 30 minutes, which may be due to understaffing. The store at 7450 North Clark Street faces challenges such as panhandlers outside, shoplifters, and a mixed clientele, yet staff members like Phinesse and supervisor Nelvin are praised for their friendliness, personal service, and positive attitude amid a difficult environment. The busy location near transportation hubs and universities contributes to the high customer volume, which can cause phone lines to be busy and delays. Some customers suggest that more staff or additional locations could improve service. Overall, Walgreens is viewed as a place with helpful staff and good services, though experiences depend on the time of visit and staff interactions.
Absolutely dreadful pharmacy. Constant delays, 20 minute wait times if you try to call. It’s hard to believe something as important and vital as medicine would be put into the hands of these clowns running a fly-by-night circus.
