They show such compassion and love for my fur babies and Dr. Neel keeps on top of what is new in the field of veterinary medicine so I am 100% confident that he knows exactly what is right for my furkids and the best way to treat them. More importantly, when he doesn't know, he researches the condition extensively and has called us on weekend evenings. I don't know of any Vet, or human doctor for that matter, who will do this for their patients.I only wished he treated us humans too!”

“Brought my dog Theo because he was bitten by another dog. Dr. Sullivan and his assistant (Jenny I think was her name) were both very kind and knowledgeable. It was clear that to them the patient is my dog and Dr. Sullivan put Theo at ease. They checked for signs of infection or fever, gave Theo a physical and removed tartar from his front teeth which I felt went above and beyond. The pricing for our visit very fair and comparable to other animal hospitals I’ve been to in the suburbs. Thank you for taking care of my dog.”

“Our vet is closed on Wednesdays and we had an emergency with our puppy of course on a Wednesday. I called North Center in a panic to see if they would help us out. Dawn was so incredibly kind. She let me have my panic attack (and cry on the phone with her), she empathized with the situation, and then she got us right in. The entire experience, from start to finish, was excellent. I'm seriously considering switching vets to them for this reason.”

“I've only gone to Wicker Park Veterinary for a few months and they've already done so much for me. My rescue Walter is usually petrified of the vet, but has now tried to drag me over to the vet just to say hello. They were patient when he was really agitated getting his blood drawn and worked with me to figure out the right medication to have calm visits.Most recently, I woke up realizing I'd left his anxiety meds at mother's house in Indiana. I called the vet and had replacement meds in hand within an hour, and was still able to make my flight that morning.Walter and I appreciate them so much!”

“I have been taking both of my cats here for just over a year. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned between visits to prevent disease transmission — I’ve never worried that my cats will pick something up at this location. I like that I can schedule my cats for back to back appointments here and they can be seen basically at the same time with one doctor.Dr. Czerwonky is my preferred vet for the way she has attended to my cats, in particular my cat with asthma, but I’ve honestly had a great experience with other doctors (Dr. Currigan and Dr. Foose) as well.My less healthy cat has completed a dental cleaning under anesthesia here, and the staff sent me updates and photos of her to ensure I knew she was doing well during her procedure.If you’re looking for cat care in Chicago, I highly recommend trying to become a patient with VCA Cat Hospital of Chicago. They all know and love cats. I have never felt pressured to purchase supplements, prescription food, extra procedures, etc. here. I’ve been privileged and fortunate enough to be able to afford all essential care and some more preventative care as well. I personally get some Rx foods for my cats and the approval turnaround (I prefer to buy online) is always speedy with VCA. I also really appreciate the online virtual support that is offered in the VCA app. It’s come in handy when I have more minor questions that don’t warrant a visit. Overall a great experience being a client here for over a year.And get pet insurance BEFORE you go because pet insurance will not cover pre existing conditions or conditions that arise during a waiting period immediately after purchasing a plan (typically 2 weeks to a month). So if you purchase pet insurance at least a month before your appointment here, you are more likely to have care that is eligible for reimbursement. VCA is not “cheap” but that’s because high quality care costs money, especially with the vet/vet tech shortage our country is experiencing. Pet insurance will make the costs more manageable if you find the right plan.”

“The Dr and the staff are very nice and knowledgeable. Plenty of parking spots.The waiting room is big, the exam rooms are comfortable. The available hours for appointments are great. The phone was answered quickly. When I called and all my questions were answered, I also felt they cared about answering my questions. The level of care and emotional support from the Dr and staff when my Dog passed was beyond what I expected. I highly recommend Animal Care and Hospital for all your pet's needs. “This will be long winded, but I’ve been going to Dr. Byron for over 25 years (even before he opened this clinic & I followed him here). I’ve had dogs, a cat, and Guinea pigs that were patients here. My diabetic cat lived 17 happy years under their care. Between Animal House & the cardiologist we saw, my late dog lived 6 additional happy years after diagnosis with a major heart condition, until age 15!I even brought in my large tropical fish that was lodged in a rock (rock and all), and Dr Byron got him out ? Dr. Byron & Dr. Jenny are the BEST! They’ve helped me keep all my pets happy and healthy. They are kind, knowledgeable & thorough. The entire staff is amazing & goes above and beyond! I’ve since moved further west & still bring my pets to them because they are the best! I was just there yesterday with my sick & lethargic dog & Dr. Byron determined what was wrong (his hunch proved to be correct with diagnostic tests) & sent us home with proper meds/treatment. Within an hour of meds, she was eating again & acting her normal self. I highly recommend Animal House!”

“I’ve been going to BLVD Logan Square for a few years now with both my cat and my dog and I absolutely adore them! Both my pets don’t like the vet. The vets there are incredibly understanding and really take so much time and effort to make sure both you AND your pet are calm. If you told me the vets there take therapy classes, I’d believe it.I have never felt rushed or like my pet’s health was compromised. My vet, Dr. Sapato, even took time to research into the food I am feeding my cat to see how it might impact his digestive issues and what the brand’s manufacturing process is. I have never had a vet do that before- it means a lot to me!When I first started bringing my cat there, I was nervous because he was a verified A-hole. The vet reassured me that her cat too was kind of a jerk and so she knew my worries and knew how she could help him be calm at the vet. Whatever she does works because he actually leaves calmer and less stressed than when we go in! He lets her hold him too- and he only lets me do that usually.My dog has issues with men, so I appreciate the number of female staff members here too and no one seems to be judgmental about that! He needed to have a TPLO surgery and the orthopedic surgeon was a man, but he was also so understanding of my dog’s fears and so kind in how he treated my dog.Lastly, they are VERY understanding of budget constraints. They make sure you understand pricing, and give options if you’re struggling with money. They are also so kind and up front about other lower cost places you can go if their prices are ever higher. I never feel pressured to spent more than I can, and also never feel like my pets health is compromised when I have a strict budget.Basically, as long as I’m in the area, I’m coming here!”
