“I’ve been going to BLVD Logan Square for a few years now with both my cat and my dog and I absolutely adore them! Both my pets don’t like the vet. The vets there are incredibly understanding and really take so much time and effort to make sure both you AND your pet are calm. If you told me the vets there take therapy classes, I’d believe it.I have never felt rushed or like my pet’s health was compromised. My vet, Dr. Sapato, even took time to research into the food I am feeding my cat to see how it might impact his digestive issues and what the brand’s manufacturing process is. I have never had a vet do that before- it means a lot to me!When I first started bringing my cat there, I was nervous because he was a verified A-hole. The vet reassured me that her cat too was kind of a jerk and so she knew my worries and knew how she could help him be calm at the vet. Whatever she does works because he actually leaves calmer and less stressed than when we go in! He lets her hold him too- and he only lets me do that usually.My dog has issues with men, so I appreciate the number of female staff members here too and no one seems to be judgmental about that! He needed to have a TPLO surgery and the orthopedic surgeon was a man, but he was also so understanding of my dog’s fears and so kind in how he treated my dog.Lastly, they are VERY understanding of budget constraints. They make sure you understand pricing, and give options if you’re struggling with money. They are also so kind and up front about other lower cost places you can go if their prices are ever higher. I never feel pressured to spent more than I can, and also never feel like my pets health is compromised when I have a strict budget.Basically, as long as I’m in the area, I’m coming here!”

My rescue Walter is usually petrified of the vet, but has now tried to drag me over to the vet just to say hello. They were patient when he was really agitated getting his blood drawn and worked with me to figure out the right medication to have calm visits.Most recently, I woke up realizing I'd left his anxiety meds at mother's house in Indiana. We are not currently clients of Duke but given the emergency they took my dog right away and could not have been more attentive and helpful. He ended up having to go a second day for treatment, and they were so kind the whole time. I have been here many times over the eight years I have lived here, and they have always been this way. “If I could give 100 stars, I would. My husband and I chose Burnham Park Animal Hospital to care for our puppy when we were living in the South Loop. A few months ago we moved out to Irving Park, and we both came to the quick consensus that BPAH would remain our vet despite the distance. Everyone there shows our dog and us so much compassion and care. We’ve had experiences with three of their vets— Dr. Phillips, Dr. Antonicic, and Dr. Schell. They have all been beyond amazing, informative, and so genuinely caring. Their vet techs/front desk staff are just as caring and kind. Their emergency services (and prices!) FAR surpass the services at MedVet, which we have gone to once. Our dog is never scared to go to the vet/leave the room without us and happily greets every staff member there, which tells me they’re just as amazing behind the scenes as they are when we are present in the room. I truly can’t speak highly enough of Burnham Park Vet. We feel blessed to have them care for our sweet boy.”

“Abbott is amazing! Dr Child took great care of my cat! Olive needed a portion of her tail amputated after an injury. It has been a long road of recovery due to Olive trying to bite the surgery site. Dr Child was extremely caring and even ordered her several special cones due to my cats small size to see which would work best for her. Every time I had a question the staff always responded in a timely manner. They have squeezed Olive into their busy schedule several times because of her bothering the surgery site (she's an awful patient). I am so thankful for Abbott!”

“Our vet is closed on Wednesdays and we had an emergency with our puppy of course on a Wednesday. I called North Center in a panic to see if they would help us out. Dawn was so incredibly kind. She let me have my panic attack (and cry on the phone with her), she empathized with the situation, and then she got us right in. The entire experience, from start to finish, was excellent. I'm seriously considering switching vets to them for this reason.”
