“I had occasion to use the Glen Carbon Illinois Post Office yesterday. I was returning a package to Montana.
The vendor had previously sent me a priority mail label. I had no idea how to package or place the labels on the package. The young lady working the counter assisted me in preparing the package.
Actually she taped up the box and placed the labels in the proper locations. This assistance was an enormous help for me. This was the best experience if had wth usps in years. I have a renewed faith in the usps. Thank You for assisting me.”
“Great Post Office, Margaret & Lori are the absolute best USPS workers I have ever dealt with at a post office . They go over and Beyond there job description to help you with any of your shipping needs. They have helped with shipping issues and I allow me to ship with NO PROBLEMS! As of December 2025, their hours are Monday - Friday from 9:00am - 4:00pm, but CLOSED FOR LUNCH from 12:25pm - 1:15pm.
Saturday they are only open from 9:00am - 12:00 noon.”

“I like the Uptown post office but How is anyone supposed to mail anything when the hours keep getting changed by staff? They've always been nice, helpful, & knowledgeable. Does the Postmaster General know about this? The hours they were open was until 4:45pm and has been for decades. The people here like this. Today there was several others trying to mail things when I tried to mail things but once again, another sign was taped to the window with yet Another change of hours. Is someone trying to intentionally get the Uptown post office to close for good? Sure does seem like it. Please stop this & go back to regular hours. Thank you”
“I have no complaints about my experience here. There were two people in front of me and two behind me and we all got the same treatment and respect. My own ignorance to what I needed to do was my only holdup but I was given accurate assistance to get what I needed done. They for sure sell stamps and can mail things certified.”
