“They have everything for your holiday decor. Halloween, Christmas, 4th of July etc. In the summer I get my strawberries and tomatoes plants here. The staff is very knowledgeable in everything. This is my place of solitude.”

“I visited this location on 22DEC22. The 5 stars for this review are relagated to the associate Nieve. I came into the store stressed and confused looking for an extension cord that likely doesn't exist. I requested for Nieve to help me find it, and they helped me as best they were able. They walk with me to were they sold cords with negative results. They then walked to a computer and put in the specifications for my extension cord, but they didn't sell anything like the one I was looking for. They even attempted to see if they had the snowblower in stock I needed to see if they could better figure out what kind of cord I needed. However, we weren't able to find any pictures to help figure out what cord I needed. Nieve thought it strange by the way I was describing it. However, they were respectful dealing with my later realized error and educated me in a non-condescending way and informed me why the item I was mistakenly looking for likely was wrong. Nieve went over and beyond and deserves recognition for their work ethic, kindness, and knowledgeability. They even gave me the right cord I needed before I left!”
“Ted’s is hands down the best greenhouse on the south side of chicago. I’m a science teacher, avid plant enthusiast, and a long time customer. Many greenhouses either try or claim to be “the best” but I have not come across it’s equal by far, that includes plant shows/conventions. Honestly the closest place to their selection would be one of the conservatories. I sometimes go there just to look despite being a solid 25 min drive.I wouldn’t suggest any place else”

“Dwayne and team do an absolutely amazing job. From picking out the perfect plants, to guiding us through the garden and giving us sketches of what our yard could look like, they do it all. “I went to Home Depot, and I was surprised at how much lumber they had. Now I am a bit of a wood enthusiast, and I could not believe the awesome and all powerful almighty selection they had at store, and when I went up to the employee and asked him how much the wood was for sale he told me it was free because I loved wood so much so I opened up all my orifices for all the wood. Enter.”
“Today we found our new favorite place for our garden shopping ?. I've lived in the area for over 4 years now and never stopped by. The place is really well organized and has so many varieties of plants, vegetables, and some fruits. I myself purchased a few different types of pepper plants and one called a blood plant. I'm definitely coming back soon!”

Reasonable prices.A year since I wrote this review, give or take, and I generally no longer go to Home Depot and Countryside Illinois because it appears multiple staff changes have caused the service in a variety of departments to diminish. They seem to be much more helpful at the local Menards. as long as I go to Home Depot in Countryside Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM I could expect reasonable help with better than average expertise. If I go at other times when I try not to if I go at all the staff working there to be poorly trained, particularly in lumber, plumbing, electricity, gardening, but the checkout is generally quick and easy.”

The Home Depot on 87th should be your first stop. The paint and paint supplies as well as the peel and stick are all from Home Depot.”
“My experience was top tier. I had no idea on how to pick granite countertops. Ms Terri was amazing. Her professionalism and positive attitude made everything better for me. She gave her professional opinion and examples on the quartz and granite durability. I was so unsure and frustrated walking into the Home Depot. I had been to other stores and felt overwhelmed. Ms Terri had me leaving confident and with an appointment for new countertops. Honorable mention to Ms Tara too. She is a customer service super star too. Thank you ladies.”

“I've been in the Chicago Ridge location a few times recently. There's one employee there (I wish I could remember his name). He's super tall, anyway, he's extremely friendly and knowledgeable. “I needed to buy more tile for my bathroom (to match what I bought 4-5 years ago at Home Depot), but it was discontinued. I talked to Ed Hester, Design Consultant at Home Depot on Elston Avenue in Chicago, IL on March 16, 2023, and he called Daltile in Elk Grove, Illinois. (I had given him the tile manufacturer as well as the SKU number). As Ed patiently tracked it down online, he simultaneously talked to an associate at Daltile. And he found my discontinued tile!! I ordered it today and will pick it up on Monday. Kudos to Ed Hester, Home Depot employee extraordinaire!!”

“I had gone to Home Depot to pick up materials for my basement renovation. I was fortunate enough to get Misheka Hutchins to assist me. She was very knowledgeable. She suggested two things that I would need to complete the shower bed. She reviewed my entire list with me and answered all my questions. Misheka gave such excellent service to me that when I had to go back for more supplies needed by the contractor I willing to wait until she returned from vacation. She definitely made me feel like a valued customer and made Home Depot look like the place to go to. He was patient and very informative when helping us decide on which tools and type of paint to use for our home. He educated us on which types of paint would fit in each rooms based on the different kinds/textures. He made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend returning here.”

“I come here at least 4 times a week now since I moved down the street. The customer service is great and they have a large variety of items and a lot of great clearance items daily. They also have an amazing garden center. So much to choose from and everything is well taken care of and great quality plants, herbs, vegetables and trees. The only reason I will knock off a star is because sometimes I go around 7 pm And the parking lot lights don't come on ! It gets very dark and it's not in the best location. I've seen the place get robbed twice and Ive seen a cop chase someone out of the store before, too! Please fix the lighting ! I want to feel safe at my favorite store. Menards next door is very well lit”
