“Big shout out to garden department employee Vicky, she helped me find the right mulch and stone for my garden, she also helped me load it onto my truck, pretty strong for a tiny girl! I felt bad for her having to help an old man like me, you'd think some of the other garden employees would help but they were too busy standing around talking instead of working! Guess it hard to find good help these days, hope they keep her around, she appears to the only one working!”
“I was at Home Depot’s Garden Center today. I an really impressed with the quality and variety of their perennials. A much better selection than last year and very reasonably priced. The plants looked healthy and well cared for. I am planting a pollinator garden this year in my parking strip and found several pollinator plants here that are on my list. I am giving 4 stars because there are more perennial and ground cover varieties that I think they should stock. I’ll check back in a few weeks to see if more of the plants I need are on sale. If so, 5 stars!”

“I needed to buy more tile for my bathroom (to match what I bought 4-5 years ago at Home Depot), but it was discontinued. I talked to Ed Hester, Design Consultant at Home Depot on Elston Avenue in Chicago, IL on March 16, 2023, and he called Daltile in Elk Grove, Illinois. (I had given him the tile manufacturer as well as the SKU number). As Ed patiently tracked it down online, he simultaneously talked to an associate at Daltile. And he found my discontinued tile!! I ordered it today and will pick it up on Monday. Kudos to Ed Hester, Home Depot employee extraordinaire!!”

He went above and beyond to locate the replacement shingles I needed for a garage roof repair. He took time to locate the clearance items and called my home when he found the product. “Let me explain why this Hope Depot got 4 stars. I have shopped at many Home Depots and usually find them to be 3 stars, I find the shopping experience average and its a Home improvement store. But my experience at this Home Depot was better than the others, as I walked around the store I was asked a total of 5 times if I needed any assistance and when I checked out I was greated and help by a very friendly cashier. So although this Home Depot is typical in its selection, layout, pretty much everyway, this particular store excelled in customer service. Shout out to the store manager for having your team be so attentive and helpful, they are doing a great job.”
