“I was recently informed, Shoe Carnival is the cheap, go-to, shoe shopping place now that Payless Shoe Source has closed. I was looking for some nice heels to wear to a fancy destination wedding. As soon as I walked in, I used the restroom, which they had and was clean, then noticed the prices were around where I like them. They had a pretty decent selection on all the shoes except fancy, comfortable, open toed heels. Basically, I was shopping for summer shoes in the beginning of fall with a common foot size. No wonder it was slim pickins. After at least an hour of trying on shoes and sending pics to my fashion police, I settled on a wedge (pictured). I'm not a wedge type of gal, but I didn't feel like going to another store. So I bought them, and they were just under $40. As I walked out of the store, I decided to check Kohl's bc it was only about 150 yards or so away from Shoe Carnival. I did find a pair of open toed heels on sale, and they were actually comfortable...mostly. Fortunately for me, they were pretty close to what I was looking for. Unfortunately for Shoe Carnival, I no longer wanted to own the wedges. The cashier, who won't be getting the most personable customer service rep award, made the return process super painless, and I appreciate that.”
