“They have very friendly and helpful staff. Will help you locate items in the store...and walk you over to them. You can get in and out quickly. You do have to bag your own groceries, but they provide a nice station with bags always stocked. The store doesn't always have the same thing in stock every week. Clean, well lit parking lot. Located in a strip mall with other stores.”
“I walked in the store today and I thought I was in a different store. It was so clean, fresh smelling and all organized. The store even looked bigger. Talked with the new manager and thanked her for all the cleaning and organizing. She's a good manager and takes pride in her work.”
“They have great produce that even looks fresh, some bigger named stores don't . They sell both name brand and generics and you can save money. I go across town to the one by Staley's at five point because I like how friendly and helpful the staff are . Try them if you haven't.”
“Good place to shop if you only need a few things and wanna get in and out of the store fairly quickly. I hate that they have a self checkout but it never seems to be open. That's not really a big deal if the line is not very long. But it would still make things go quicker if they would either have more than one cashier at a time or open the self checkout.”
“There shelves are not always stocked due to lack of employees on truck days. So, it is always messy. When they work with a skeleton crew it's not their fault. Its Dollar generals fault. We are only human and can only do so much. Schedule more employees on truck days DOLLAR GENERAL!!”

“I shop regularly at Dollar General except at the Frist Drive location in Decatur Illinois. The store is beyond dirty. The windows and floors are covered in dirt. There is no hand sanitizer or anyone helping with cart wipe down. Do the store a favor and bring in professional cleaners. Your sales will increase.”
“2/29 Caring employees that take care of their community!!! Unknowing to me I was walking in right as they were locking the door. Sweet young man asked me if I knew what I needed, Milk for my Grandbaby, and he said go in, it is fine. I get to the register and no debt card or cash. The very patient cashier lets me try a gift card, expired, and a credit card I wasn't sure was activated. She still stayed patient and smiling. I hated that I took their time, but my grandbaby and I sure did appreciate their kindness! Keep spreading kindness, smiles, and great customer service, Decatur!!!!!”
“The employees are always very nice and will help you find what you are looking for and the digital coupons really help save a lot of money. It is a convenient store with many things from groceries to household and gifts.. if you're in a hurry and dont want to deal with the big stores, I highly recommend”
