“Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh (Gas Station) was an easy place to stop for gas. But what stands out to me is that the young man working Friday night on March the 13th was very friendly and easy to ask questions. He did not act as though it was a bother to do his job. What a refreshing stop that was. I also give them a 10 out of 10 for the cleanilness of the soda fountain. I have stopped going to most gas stations for soda because the soda fountains are always REALLY gross. Hy-Vee gas station has really clean soda machines any time I happen to stop and it appears that they care. I will definitely be stopping here when I pass by. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.”

Stopped by the Marathon gas station on University in Peoria, IL, and had a great experience from start to finish. The customer service was top-notch—friendly, upbeat, and genuinely welcoming. It’s not every day you have a good conversation while grabbing gas and snacks, but the staff here really made my day. The store layout was smart and easy to navigate, making it quick to find what I needed. Everything was clean and well-stocked, which speaks volumes about how well this location is run. My visit was fast, smooth, and hassle-free—exactly what you want in a quick stop. Whether you’re filling up your tank or just stopping in for a coffee or drink, this Marathon stands out for its great service and positive vibe. Highly recommend if you’re in the area. I’ll definitely be back!”

“The staff here are decently nice. Unlike a lot of Casey's (since the ownership change), you can commonly find some fresh pizza. The bathrooms have always been clean every time I come, so I would recommend it to anyone coming through town.”

“Kayla, the store manager is so personable and polite. I go in there all the time to do lotto and get a soda. She knows me by name and we always have a great couple minute conversation. If it wasn't for her I probably would go somewhere else but she is always so amazing. Also, she is the only one I ever see in the morning and for her to be by herself and have the store look so nice and still be that friendly is what's going to keep me coming back. So if Kayla sees this, thank you for starting my morning with a smile🙂”

“Even when this store is super busy they are very friendly, efficient and clean. The employees here are wonderful. They are generally very well stocked with a variety of groceries and beverages as well as novelties (hats, tees, smoking accessories, cell phone accessories). A little disappointed that the fountain soda has no diet Mt Dew in stock currently (and out of several other brands as well for the past week). Their selection of diet soda in bottles and cans is very limited also. Otherwise I prefer to shop here than any other gas station!”

If you dont want orders through grubhub, please remove it as an option.”
“Gas station is dirty. Bathrooms are worse then dirty. Half the time there will be multiple people around but only one register open. Sometimes they require an ID to buy alcohol and cigarettes and sometimes they don't. When they do get busted by not asking then after months they will require it. Disrespectful when they get called out on the fact by a customer even though they have camera's inside to see but no cameras outside to see drive offs. Will never go there againI will run out of gas first........”

“Clean, plenty of pumps, great access, good parking, good inside selection. Average pump prices, quality gas. If you generally run cheap unbranded gas like from your grocery store. It probably lacks all the injector and combustion cleaning additives that premium gas has. You will likely find that a tank of premium brand gas will make your engine run better and increase your mileage by the time that tank is burned. Also; friendly, efficient staff inside.”

Excellent source for fresh fruits and vegetables, a professional bakery, hot foods ready to eat, a wide selection of lunch meat and cheeses, a butcher shop with an expert staff, a Starbucks, and a full selection of alcoholic drinks. The store is clean, and well lit. Parking is ample. The only reason I don't give this Krogers 5 stars is because it's almost 6 miles from my house.”

“I've been coming here for years. I know the owner and all employees. I've never had a better experience at any other gas station. As a normal, veteran customer, i can tell you that the service here can be very personal and positive. You can even stay and chat with the employees if they aren't busy with other customers. By the way.... The one review left about the hours being wrong is an unnecessary politically motivated attack on a local gas station that has nothing to do with politics. Please ignore that person as they are being ignorant and rude for absolutely no reason. Anyway, this is the best and friendliest gas station I've been to in years. They remind me of other country-like gas stations I've been to. I love my corner gas.”
