East Peoria River Front Park is a beautiful and well-maintained area that offers a scenic view of the Peoria skyline across the river. Visitors enjoy a wide, paved walking path that is perfect for exercise and leisurely strolls. The park features several benches, a gazebo, and ample trash cans, making it convenient for large groups and families. It is a popular spot for gatherings, especially during events like the Fourth of July. The park is also known for its amazing night views. Although there is some goose poop on the sidewalks and grass, it doesn't detract from the overall experience. The park is easily accessible with free parking nearby and is located close to a fish and grill restaurant. Many visitors appreciate the quiet atmosphere, making it a great place for reflection or quality time with loved ones. A memorial bench dedicated to Gary Richrath, a member of REO Speedwagon, adds a unique touch to this lovely park.
It was as neat to see this area and see Peoria from across the river and walk the trail. The memorial bench in my one photo is for Gary Richrath.
