“I'm not sure what Trend + Relic is trying to be. It reminds me of the "home goods" department of Von Maur - beautifully curated, a bit pricey and as soon as something sells, there's another one in stock in the back that they'll put out...
The overall aesthetic is beautiful! It's aspirational as well as attainable. They do have actual antiques sprinkled throughout, but it's mostly gift-ables.
There were 3 women at the checkout that were all very nice. I found a small antique end table and asked if there was any better they could do on the price. All 3 of the women were very involved in a computer issue- talking and asking questions about what happened. Woman #1 explained to me that she texted the woman whose booth the table was from to see if there was any further discount. While she was explaining to me, Woman #2 asked "wait why are you texting XYZ, what do you need?" So woman #1 explained to woman #2 that I was asking for a discount. Then woman#3 walked up and asked if she could help (woman #1 was helping me and woman #2 was still fixing the computer). Woman #1 explained to woman #3 that I was asking for a discount. It was uncomfortable to be standing right there and all 3 woman had to be up-to-speed on every little thing happening at the counter (which was just me standing there asking for a discount). There was no line, no busy-ness. It seemed like the women working had nothing to do... and they were craving the busy-ness of "how can I help?" And "what can I do?" It made it awkward for me, the customer.
I first found this place because a few of their larger furniture pieces are on Facebook Marketplace.”
“Lovely store! I'm a Senior Citizen and my limitations to purchase something I need are endless.The discount for Seniors was limited to a certain day of the week....that was a turn off. I wanted a particular piece of furniture and wasn't able to purchase it because I wasn't there on the particular discount day. The item was sold following week of my return. So should Icontinue shop here?”
“Spiritcraft custom built a live edge, walnut table in January 2023. It was to our dimensions of 76 x 42" with a spider base. They were very patient with us through the design process with our fussy questions and requests for photos. The table was delivered on time, assembled in the house and it looks just like new 10 months later. No warping, no cracks - perfect. The whole process and quality of the table exceeded our expectations. So much better than buying from a high volume furniture store, knowing that a family business built it and stands behind the product. We looked at many competitors for live edge tables and this could not be beat. I share some pictures of the table below. I highly recommend Spiritcraft.”
“I shopped at Hobby Lobby for a custom sized mat for a print. The young girl at the frame department helped me out from matching the color of the mat to the exact measurements needed. “I went to Home Goods here at Hoffman Estates for a class field trip and I wanted to look at a shelve where they had like card games and other Christmas gifts that they had there but this employee didn’t care at all to move the fricking cart and she didn’t realize that I wanted to look at what was on the shelve she didn’t barge to move one bit then I passed over to the same shelve again and the employee didn’t seem to move the cart at all and I left and really is this how they be ignoring their customers are they really that paid to ignore customers cause I don’t think they are paid to do that. They also think that you are there to just give them crap when all of a sudden it’s then the costumers fault for it it’s so fricking rude and disrespectful. If people now and days can’t attend a customer here at this store why are they even here for like what’s even the point of them coming to work.”
“Visited this store for flooring samples to match existing flooring. Was helped by Ashton. He was such a great help. After picking flooring the next evening, Ashton was there and ready to help. Even when I called to ask questions, Ashton remembered us and knew exactly what we needed. The people are so friendly and kind. Ashton was all of that and patient while we viewed many samples and learned about certain floors. Hope your visit is as great as ours!! Would definitely go back ?”

“HomeGoods, is by far, my favorite place to shop.
I love this location in Geneva Commons. It’s always well stocked and has been nicest people working there.
Just to share this experience, I just left after purchasing a pretty large mirror wondering how I was going to make it through the crowded parking lot lol it was if the cashier read my mind called for help and the sweetest guy I believe his name is Erin,
Very patiently waited for me to drive up and effortlessly lifted the mirror into my car for me.
Cannot recommend this location enough!”

I love that it is a husband/wife team that own it and they are hands on with customers (and the sweetest people!). They also came to our house and installed every fixture.... even the tough 2 story foyer light. I recommend them all the time. You will be so happy to went in... and supporting local is so important.”

“Monica was wonderful I ordered picture wall art it came damaged. I didn’t wanna go into the store, but I had to because I had to return it. Monica was very helpful. Sad thing is all the pictures were damage so it really wasn’t their fault that they didn’t check it before they sent it out, but when I got there, she refunded me my delivery charge and the wall art in full I will return. I love the store. People were very helpful clean store. It is turned around though. It doesn’t look like the Elmhurst store so zero on the wall art but five on the Customer Service.”

Michele Hardt is an amazing designer, she did a vacation home for us..We loved it so much we decided to get some new furniture for our home in NY..Lily puts everything in 3D for us so we can see what it'll look like before purchasing..this store gives the most amazing personal customer service.. if I have any issues with wanting to return something, billing or any other problems Tara is on it right away & immediately gets it straightened out. Phyllis the store manager get it all worked out whatever it takes. I look forward to a long relationship with this store. Now a days with customer service being so bad with most corporations Arhaus Freehold is a pleasure to deal with & some of the nicest furniture on the market. Thanks guys for all you've done for us.
