“Five Below is always a fun place to explore, there is no telling what you may find on their shelves. Sometimes you can find a real bargain. On a recent trip I grabbed a cat tunnel for $4 that made our cats extremely happy while I found a rubber duck dressed up like Spock for my collection.”

“Great selection, the best I've ever seen at a Dollar Tree. Awesome staff! Tom, Jamie and the woman manager (didn't catch her name) were all great. They deserve raises. I spent 30+ minutes in the store and saw several interactions and all were pleasant, including mine. They assisted me with 12 balloons during a busy time and they were kind to everyone. Great location, selection and staff. Highly recommend.”
“I'm happy that the Five Below in Melrose Park is receiving an update recently, considering that surrounding Five Below locations have already been updated. This location, which is constantly busy with customers, never considered getting an update until now, and they are using the old Carter's building to extend the Five Below location just as an FYI.”

“Update: Thursdays are now $1.00. It is a great place to shop for bargains. I love coming here and looking for stocking stuffers and small gifts. I have gotten press on nails, makeup, party plates (bundles), clothing, car accessories, toys, pet toys/treats, food items... and more... they even have a refrigerator section with cheeses and other great items. I love the people who work here, they are kind and helpful. If you're looking for something specific they will take down your phone number and let you know when they have some.”

“I recently visited a Dollar Tree location, and I was genuinely impressed by how clean and well-organized the store was from the moment I walked in. Many people expect discount stores to be a bit cluttered or chaotic, but this Dollar Tree completely defied that stereotype. The floors were spotless, the aisles were tidy, and every shelf looked thoughtfully arranged, making it incredibly easy to find exactly what I needed without feeling overwhelmed.
What stood out most was how neatly the products were grouped by category. Seasonal items were displayed in an attractive, easy-to-browse layout, while everyday essentials like cleaning supplies, snacks, and personal care items were clearly labeled and fully stocked. It made the shopping experience smooth and enjoyable, almost more like a boutique discount store than a typical dollar shop.
The checkout area was also clean and efficiently managed. Even when a small line formed, the staff moved things along quickly, all while keeping their stations organized and free of clutter. That level of attention to detail really added to the overall positive atmosphere of the store.
Overall, this Dollar Tree exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness, organization, and thoughtful layout made shopping simple, fast, and surprisingly pleasant. I’ll definitely be returning.”

I was in this evening around 6:48 pm. The cashier ( no name tag) wearing white jogging pants and a black top should be taught to not be holding a customer's money and texting... I wanted to scream from how unprofessional it was just standing there staring at her for what seemed like FOREVER to please put her phone down and finish my transaction. As soon as I walk up she's just texting completely ignoring me and my entire interaction was awkward. I look forward in seeing the manager whenever I walk in as she is incredibly helpful and pleasant and I could've right there and then called for her however she was busy putting the price tags on throughout the entire store trusting this young lady and this cashier should be written up. Next time if it happens again I will be certain to say something. If it were my job, I'd be out of a job, period. I did not appreciate spending $43.00 to give her $45.00 and wait forever to get my change that probably was about 3 minutes total just staring at her and she gave no care because obviously it's welcomed. I have seen the manager at this location train and she is stern, hard pressed while being gentle and extremely patient so I know it is not happening in her presence. We all have things going on at home, etc but that's what a break is for!!

In my customer service career as a young cashier I had to learn the hard way by receiving a write up, having my phone confiscated by management until the end of my shift or being sent home without pay.
I do understand that this generation is pretty much... RELAXED to a certain degree but it is common sense, " the customer service is the first contact, is responsible for creating that warm and inviting impression to keep customers coming back vs to their competitors, are responsible for adhering to their employment hand book guidelines of what is acceptable and isn't and the customers wanting to come back purchasing inventory is what creates profit and raises"
Please, get it together. Give your Manager and the old lady a raise as they have been the consistent employees in that store since I moved to Wood Dale years ago. Stop hiring anyone and if you do ensure they have common knowledge of what is expected or train them properly so that these young folks understand.”

Good store for everyone's requirements.Easy to locate things.Specially Walmart Pharmacy is good.I visited Walmart for reading glasses. I was disappointed when I didn't find 2.25 reading glasses there. Online it was showing available but in store it was not showing any sign of 2:25 I took picture of that too .”

“I was driving home from a doctor’s appointment and my phone was about to run out of battery.
I was waiting for a red light to turn green and busted a right into the parking lot. Never been here before, but very clean and organized was my first impression.
Ended up getting a cell phone charger, along with some chips and water.

“This place has been around for 8 years and how am I just finding out about this gem?! I found the same brands I buy at Discovery for even less here. I found adorable comfy clothes and some beautiful home decor items. The fragrances arent the best but they have a wide selection to try. You may be able to find one for really cheap that you like!They have a wide selection of coats, sweats, yoga pants, shirts, dresses, shoes.I was very impressed with the variety of vases, mirrors, art, and decorative items. Don't worry about the employees since they work long hours and you just have to be grateful that they are there and this place exists. They may not be the most helpful but it's not the biggest deal.”

“There were some problem areas but for the most part the cashier was nice, the store on this particular day was well stocked and the prices are far less than say A FAMILY DOLLAR. This is a NEWER LOOKING LOCATION so it has a newish feel some of their locations have an outdated and extremely messy feel. So I had a decent experience will be returning in the near future.”
