“I HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY PAY IT FORWARD AS I DID TODAY. First a woman with a young girl had a card that didn't work; as she told the cashier to put it back and said she was sorry, a woman right behind her stepped up and payed with her card. When that lady left there was a young gentlemen whose card was refused and as he was reaching over the bagging area to put his food back until he checked the balance, just then a man walked in who had not seen what the previous woman did for the Momma and girl, who first asked how much, it was 14.00 and he handed the cashier(young man), his card to pay. Talk about Nice. It was real good to see such generousity, kindness and caring. Just to be clear this was Dollar General in DuQuoin, Il”
“Zoey the cashier at checkout was very kind and helpful. She carded me which I didn’t mind at all, after she explained why the store had made it a policy which I understood. Excellent customer service and this Walmart had way more products suited toward my lifestyle than ones at home in Chicagoland. This will be my stop when I return to the area!”

“Normally staff is friendly. They used to have everything they carry in stock. Nowadays it's a hit and miss with things being in stock. My last two visits they pretty much had everything I wanted in stock anyways. I understand that certain items are getting harder and harder to get.”
“I don’t know if this store is under new management or what but it looks so much better than it did in the past. It’s less cluttered, things are in place and the staff takes the time to actually walk you to where an item is rather than pointing in some direction and saying it should be over there. I will only shop at this store and if I am not in the area of it, I will wait until I am in that area rather than stopping at any other one. Management…Keep doing what you’re doing because you have taken this store to an all new level! Kudos to you for a job well done! You deserve an award for having the best DG in southern Illinois.”
