I was also able to book a same day appointment which was incredibly helpful because the feline was running a fever. All vets are expensive these days so pricing was comparable to most veterinarian offices.”

“Made the switch to Ravenswood Animal Hospital for my cat when I moved into the area and I cannot recommend them enough. They are simultaneously organized, punctual, and efficient while still personable, patient, and communicative. Each time I needed support and advice, they gave detailed and individualized recommendations, also emailing recs for convenience and following up with a phone call a few days later. When I was out of town for a month, my cat became sick and they worked hand in hand with my mom to give her the care and attention she needed. I full heartedly believe Dr Mitchell and all the staff here (in addition to my mom) are the only reason I got to see my cat again upon my return. I can never thank them enough for that. Putting her down was a hard decision, but their guidance, empathy, and focus on quality of life aided in those difficult decisions. Thank you for all that you guys do. Should I ever adopt another animal in the future, I know where I will be taking them for care. ❤”

“The best vet experience we've had since moving home to Chicago from LA in 2020. We started at the Ravenswood location and then moved over to the Logan Square location. Been bringing our 2 dogs here for a couple years now and so pleased with everything about this spot! Previously tried another vet in Lincoln Park, but they were not compatible with our anxious german shepherd mix. Once we found BLVD, we were golden. Everyone on staff is so caring, gentle, and patient. They take the extra 5 minutes making sure your dog is comfortable and relaxed before starting the exam. This made all the difference with our anxious pup and we were finally able to have a successful vet visit, after multiple failed attempts over the years. Can't thank them enough. They sincerely love animals and it's evident in the way they approach and treat each animal. Can't imagine ever going to another vet.”

“We've been coming to VCA Boone for a couple years now, and Dr. Hines has seen us through the hardest cases a cat household can throw at a vet. Donk (arthritis and cancer), Jive (dental issues, lymphoma), and now Moog, who just went through a urinary obstruction, bladder stones, and surgery. Every time, Dr. Hines has taken the complicated case without hesitation and explained what was happening in plain language, and referred out when she needed to. When Moog was stuck at the ER this weekend and nobody would take him without a referral or consult, she called in some connections herself and helped us get him to a surgeon in Aurora same-day. That's not something you get from every vet. And Laura at the front desk remembers every one of our animals by name. When you've lost a cat or dog and you walk in a week later with another one who's sick or just needs shots, being recognized by someone who knows your history is a real kindness. This team has been part of our family's worst and best days. I can't recommend them enough.”

“We first found Wicker Park Veterinary Clinic about 12 years ago, shortly after moving to Chicago, when our two dogs simply needed their regular check-ups. At the time, we lived only a couple of blocks away. Since then, we’ve moved farther north, but Wicker Park Vet has remained our veterinary practice for routine care, annual check-ups, and those occasional times when one of our dogs needs to be seen quickly. Over the years, we sadly said goodbye to both of the dogs who first brought us to WPV, and the care and compassion we received during those difficult times meant a great deal to us. We have since welcomed new dogs into our family, and they have taken to Wicker Park Vet just as happily. The entire staff has always been friendly, responsive, and helpful, and they have accommodated us more than once when we needed a quick appointment. Dr. Mowry remains a particular favorite of ours. She is patient, kind, thoughtful, and always takes the time to make both us and our dogs comfortable. Most importantly, our dogs genuinely seem to love her. 12 years, several dogs, and a move across the city later, we still choose Wicker Park Vet. That probably says more than anything else. We highly recommend Dr. Mowry and the entire team.”
