“Wow! Beautiful selection of fair trade goods from around the world. Excellent spot for buying gifts such as baskets, jewelry and home goods (they have a great selection for babies too- bibs, toys, etc). Highly recommend checking it out: the shop is full of beautiful things!”
“Great selection of mtg, warhammer and other collectables/cards. The staff was super friendly and easily helped me with my questions. I recommend checking this café out.”
“This is my go-to store for any gift giving for kids and buying fun new toys for my own son. Lots of great options for all ages reasonably priced. Nothing in this store is cheap junk you’d find on Amazon.”
“This place is amazing! I binge watched all 4 toy story movies with my 2yr old daughter in 2 days and the first thing we see is Buzz Lightyear as soon as we walked in. Instant purchase among other great items they have as well as pre-orders. Coolest owner as well, always a pleasure doing business.”
“Zombie Unicorn Comics is that me of the best comic shops in Chicago. They have a great selection of comics and comic adjacent collectibles and offer pressing and cleaning services. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable! This place is everything you need in a Local Comicbook Store!”
“When I returned to Chicago for the first time in a long time, I found that Lincoln Avenue was abandoned, but Rotofugi was still alive and well. This store has character products, making it feel like you're in Harajuku. There are also Hello Kitty and Japanese products, but now the store mainly sells goods made by an Italian called Tokidoki with Japanese influences. The clothes are cute too.A while ago, there was an event by an artist in New York, and I bought a painting.I hope that someday it will be as valuable as Basquiat.”

“This is a neighborhood gem! They have a variety of clothes, shoes, and toys/gifts for newborns to pre-teens. The staff are friendly, the items are well organized, and it is a fun shopping experience for adults and children. I have gone several times throughout the year for basics, outerwear, and formal clothes, and it never disappoints.”
“This is a fantastic toy store! I would give it 10 stars if possible. The owner Mike is a class act, courteous, knowledgeable and always willing to assist. Second to none”
“Kooky little record store with a great selection and fair pricing. Friendly staff and lots of nostalgic toys for sale as well! Always gotta stop by when I’m in town.”

“An excellent selection of gunpla (and other model kits), model building supplies, import toys and snacks - it's 4 of the 6 reasons you left the house today. To top it off they are friendly and super helpful. I wanna go back tomorrow!”

Little baggies for your arts and crafts? Basic halloween necessities out of season?Tools or specialty items to compliment your set? Microscopes and science slides? This place is surprising around every corner.”
“Making this review partially so I can find the comic store again next time I'm in Chicago land: the tpb selection was pretty good here, I saw some things that surprised me like tpbs of shadowpact and hawkgirl 2006. No guarantee that these will be here when you go, but the point is it's not all the newest stuff (tho I did see the dc Finest imprints and some new tpbs as well) but also got a lot of variety on slightly older stuff that is hard to find at my lcs.”
“Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable with some particularly original and clever spins on horror icons. My family and I had a great experience and this was definitely a worthwhile visit during our trip to Chicago!!”
“Absolutely recommend 100%. I was tasked by my grandma to have a doll restrung. I was about to ship it to another company for much much more $$$. I didn’t know so I assumed that’s what it costs. I confirmed the address to ship it to and that company never responded. I reached out to GIGI’s. Emailed me back quickly. Very reasonable price. Told me how to ship it. Was returned fixed to me within about a week. Was very happy with it. The doll owner is very happy as well?.”
“Great place to dump your trash toys . They may even give you a few bucks for them if you are lucky ? . Cool independently owned vintage store aka not so small businesses . So many amazing things and memories all in one place . Bigger then it looks from outside. Make sure to look everywhere .”
“Very happy I discovered this shop. I have never built models before. 5 months later I am on my 4th model car from this shop. This hobby shop has 100s if not thousands of model cars, tanks, planes, ships, helicopters and more. All at reasonable prices. You can get Tamaiya and other brands of acrylic paint, brushes, and other model supplies all at affordable prices. Janice is always kind and super helpful and patient. I would recommend this shop to experienced and beginner hobbyist looking to get into it. I was never a model builder but now I am an avid enthusiast thanks to Timeless Hobby Shop!”

“This is my go to spot for baby shower and first birthday gifts. You’re always guaranteed to find something from their selection of baby clothes and toys. I appreciate their return policy and adore their gift wrapping!! I also love how they highlight local designers.”
“Well stocked toy store with complementary gift wrapping (at least around the holidays). Needed a gift for relatives' hatchling and found a trove of goodies. A pile of stuffed animals, soft as snow. Curious curiosities. Games, trains, automobiles. Plus the people were nice. Can recommend.”
“This place was STACKED, absolutely jammed with great stuff. I could've been in there for a longer time, but they were doing good business that day so I had to get in and out. I got way more than I thought I'd want to get. The prices are exactly what I had in mind. The owner was really friendly. Extra points (six stars, if I could) for his kindness to my dog. I just happened to be walking by and didn't have anywhere to put him and he's too little to tie up. I asked the owner if I could just hold onto my dog. The owner said yes, of course, and was super-nice and funny about it. I'll be back sans dog to spend more time in there. Thanks so much.”
“Love this toy store! Every time I go in for a birthday gift, I find something great! Huge variety of toys, Legos, Magnatiles, stuffies, books, crafts and squishies. Good customer service, good organization with this needoh craze and free gift wrapping! My kids are absolutely obsessed with this store and basically everything in it ❤”
“I recently needed an adorable, stylish & quality baby gift and stepped into Babydreams. The staff were warm, friendly & extremely knowledgeable. They offered great gift ideas that fit within my budget and helped me find the PERFECT gift!!”
“I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the Dizzy Cow, and they made me and my family feel extremely welcome! Such a cute candy shop with various fun, new, and vintage candies. The atmosphere is unmatched!”

“Excellent selection of toys for babies to older kids. Some educational products as well. Huge selection of Calico Critters! Great selection of stuffies! Friendly, knowledgeable staff ready to assist you in getting the right items for your kiddos or for party gifts!”
“I had been recommended this store by 2 different friends when I mentioned having questions about certain stroller brands. There unfortunately isn’t a store super like this close to us (we went to Nordstrom & the worker there wasn’t super helpful). My mom, sister, husband & I drove almost an hour to get to here & it was so worth it! Chris was so helpful & helped alleviate some stress I’m experiencing as a soon to be first time mother. Thank you for all of your help!”

“The best toy store on the North Shore! I love the large variety of toys to choose from. It makes birthday shopping so easy! Plus the throw back toys they stock take me back to being a kid myself! Such a fun and special shop! The best!?”
“Every year when I come to Winnetka, I always make it a point to shop Beat Street at least once. The owner and other staff have been super helpful when I needed it and just let me wander until I made up my mind other times. The selection is awesome! I always find multiple things I MUST have.”
“ENJOY is awesome. It's one of my go-tos for gifts for the extra fun people in my life. Great and funny everything: books, home decor, tchotchkes, toys, mugs, card games, etc.
An LGBTQIA+ friendly shop with nice staff, and fantastic things.
Highly recommended.”
“I stopped by to get holiday gifts for my nephews and the salesperson gave excellent suggestions for things they might like. They provided the cutest complimentary gift wrapping, which saved me time during the busy holiday season. Will be back!”
