Everything is fine except the “loading zone” is occupied by their fleet rentals and trailer storage. These rarely move, and people using the storage come all the time. At most there’s one spot, so plan on parking far away. It’s not just an inconvenience, it’s completely unnecessary. The customers storing stuff need those spots more than the business! They’ve got the whole lot!

The truck was broke and had no air in the tire then when i brought it back it said i owed $12 for nothing not telling me why now it say $42 been call customer service can’t get to nobody.

Rented U-Haul great service, was newer model truck with only 56000 miles. Everything was smooth and handled all my furniture easily

I returned the UHaul truck to Evanston - I didn't rent it there; I rented it in Wheeling, IL. The person in Evanston was helpful in understanding the different ways of renting and returning trucks at different locations in Chicago.

I couldn’t wait to move the reminder of my things to my new storage unit at CubeSmart. Although the rates are better at U-Haul the customer service and experience has been trash as per usual. Within the first month of me renting a unit I had another unit rented out in my name by an employee. The whole mess was handled poorly in my opinion. And the lack of proper and professional communication from the manager of the location was telling of how this location is run.

The equipment is good. The service was generally fine. There is a woman named Rebecca who is genuinely unpleasant, even nasty. From my first interaction with her she accused me of several things and continued from there. I have no problem with the place in general, just this disrespectful and unpleasant staff person.

Rude staff charged my card twice, for $311 each time. Also didn't hand me the truck key and the blankets the first time.

Excellent, efficient and friendly customer service, nothing to improve upon. We had reserved a moving van on the long weekend with Budget and upon arrival, they didn't have one on site. No effort to rectify what seems to be a common issue with Budget. I called U-Haul and not only did they have a truck available, they let us extend the rental until the following morning though it was a last minute request on our part. 10/10--thank you UHaul (2125 Dempster, Evanston)

Great staff at this place. Martel is a man of his word and has extraordinary service. You can tell that he really cares about his business. Emmanuel also helped me with the truck return. It was a hassle free experience. I would recommend this location.
I have rented a u haul from this location twice in the last two years and have had great experience.

**UPDATE** Traevon Robinson from the regional office resolved this issue within seconds. Thank you for doing what everyone else refused to acknowledge and do.
This Uhaul location issued a contract under my name to some random person. This person goes to the store, picks up the vehicle, and hands them a driver's license showing it's not the person on the contract or the authorized driver. Uhaul then decides apparently that this is acceptable behavior to issue contracts abusing customers information. I call Uhaul for support to cancel/nullify this transaction and end up speaking with a Representative named Jessica online due to the individuals on the phone not knowing how to help. Jessica then proceeds to tell me in a number of different ways that they will not cancel/nullify the contract due to this random person already having the equipment. At one point I am then directed to contact the GM Martel Harlan and give this person a chance to correct this issue in 72hrs. I call the store in the morning and speak with Rachel who says she can go ahead and correct this issue promptly and send me an email verifying. About 7 hours pass and no email stating the issue is resolved so I call again and Rebecca answers. Rebecca notifies me she's aware of the issue but they're "busy" so I need to be understanding. Rebecca states she'll send an email confirming the issue has been corrected "when able".
My issue here is that my personal information such as name, HOME ADDRESS, email, and phone number are being given out and used on contracts I have no association with. If this random person damages the vehicle who is liable? Is it them or, is it the person listed on the contract that was also listed as the authorized driver? This random person commits a crime who will the police be calling for if this person flees the scene leaving the vehicle behind? Did this person read the contract and go yup that's me I'll sign it no problem.

They are HIGHLY unprofessional, do not answer phones calls at the location and will keep hitting you wit charges and late fees out of now where
