And I’ve been to several in the Chicagoland area since I’ve been on the hunt for the Block set. They have a fragrance corner and I don’t think I saw that in other of the stores before. There are nifty workout gear. The staff was also very helpful. For some reason my coupon was not working but the lady figured out that for some reason there were 2 bar codes in the email. Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
