“After having our pool removed, it was time to replace our aging wooden deck with Trex composite decking. We were looking forward to a low-maintenance deck instead of wood.
Our first stop was our local Menards. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant and helpful, but we were a little uncertain about their expertise with a project of this size. They provided recommendations, and we were prepared to move forward until we were told the materials would take 6 weeks to arrive. That was simply longer than we wanted to wait.
We then visited Schillings in Mokena, and the experience was completely different. Throughout the showroom, displays clearly indicated which products were in stock, which immediately caught our attention.
After selecting the Trex products we wanted, sales representative Tom King introduced himself and invited us to sit down at his desk. He took the time to understand our project, discussing everything from the framing and decking to the railings and solar lights. Tom prepared a detailed schematic, complete materials list, and pricing, then encouraged us to review everything with our installer before placing the order. We appreciated that there was absolutely no pressure.
We met with our installer, reviewed Tom's recommendations, and placed the order. We finalized everything on July 14, 2026, and all the material was delivered to our driveway on July 17, 2026.
From start to finish, the service was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. I highly recommend Tom King and the team at Schillings in Mokena if you're planning a decking project”

“The people who work here are great and are as helpful as can be. So that's great. I give the store 5 stars. The third party delivery they used for my generator is a Big fat Joke. ACT Transportation are incompetent. My generator sat in a warehouse less than 10 miles from my house for 5 days before delivery. I was told they were short handed and since another storm was possible that night that I could come and pick it up myself as a solution made by the supervisor Tiffany like everyone has a flatbed truck to pickup a 200 plus lbs generator. So that's not a solution that's a delivery and a payment made to a company who would've never fulfilled the delivery. So my opinion to Home depot is to break ties with this company who carries a 2.8 review rating ACT AAA COOPER TRANSPORTATION. Thank you for your consideration of my comment.”

“Rating the honestly and communication of the indoor garden department. Ordered a grill online which was only available through the Orland Park location. Unfortunately the item was discovered damaged upon assembly. The store was forthright in communicating the issue and providing photographs, especially Ms. Kris Piccirilli. While this particular purchase did not work out, I would place trust in the honestly of this store's staff in the future.”

“Brandon was so nice and friendly helping my son and myself find the golden lab and puppy blow mold for Halloween. When he found it it was high up on the selves where he had to get a ladder and climb up to get it off the pallet. So friendly the entire time. What a great employee to have working for you.”
