“Went into Geneseo, Il Fareway about 7:30 pm tonight (Saturday 10/25/25) and was at the meat counter for a while. I was doing my mom's grocery shopping and I'm not used to shopping for just one person so trying to figure things out was a struggle. The young lady that was working the meat counter was AMAZING! She was kind and very patient with me. She gave me choices that might work and never got irritated. What got me tho was she wrapped each thing for me separately to make dinner choices for my mom easier. She didn't have to but she did. Very good customer service!!
On another note.... I went to a self check out in which the counter was flashing a red light almost the whole time. The employees up there were trying to get things done but was struggling to pay attention so I spent too much time at a self check out. Everytime i called an employee over to me all i got was the machine dont like to work. They are a waste of space im my opinion. I would have gone to a regular register but none of them looked open at the time. Then I had to take my own cart outside and do my own groceries which normally I wouldn't care but the self check irritated me. Meat department was fabulous front end was crap.”

AWESOME!!!!.....just sayin.... If you want an enjoyable shopping experience... go to Geneseo Hy Vee... Employees are soooooo helpful..(especially for us short old folks!!!!)”

“My favorite place to make a fast pit stop to get my fresh fruits and vegetables. They also have a great selection of healthy drinks as well too. Most of the items were available in the isles. The overall shopping experience was really nice with no complaints at all.”
