“I highly recommend this auto shop. Victor and Tony are great! They take my car in right away when I need to come in at the last minute. They always offer a ride home so I do not have to pay for an Uber. They are good about calling with updates about the car. I had just got new tires 2 weeks ago and the tire pressure light came on again. I brought it back in and after replacing one of the battery sensors, they told me it was a gift as they felt bad for missing that during the previous visit. Great staff!”

I had a cracked windshield from a fallen tree branch that was supposed to be an easy fix with Safelite...turns out some corrosion along the frame would've left me with a compromised seal with potential leaks and Safelite recommended FIRST going to a body shop. Since I work walking distance from Wilmette Autobody...I thought I'd give them a shot. Glad I did!
Super fair price to repair the rust/corrosion and made scheduling my visit with Safelite super easy (they simply installed windshield at Wilmette Autobody). Job was done in a day!

“I called EXSA Automotive because I noticed a coolant leak on my van, and they scheduled me for an appointment the next day. I dropped off my van in the early afternoon and it was fixed by the early evening. They explained the situation well and I was happy with the quality of their work. I expressed concerns of taking my van across the state on a 6 hour drive, and they cleared it to be safe.
I made it through my trip with no issues and I will definitely be going back to EXSA Automotive in the near future for further services on my van.”

They listened to my concerns about the symptoms of my vehicle’s transmission and exhaust and other mechanical problems and was able to diagnose and offer a fix/ resolution. Their entire staff: Nomie, Umair, Diego, Khurram & Saqib provided peace of mind and excellent auto repair. Nomie is well known within the car community and is known as an incredible mechanical engineer. I drove more than 1.5 hours in traffic and it was well worth it. Nomie fixed my problematic transmission driveshaft issue and was able to diagnose the problem immediately. Also repaired an exhaust issue. After he repaired everything, my car drove much smoother and more efficiently and is back to great health. They’re able to order parts and have a quick turn around time as well as have fair pricing. “I have had 2 experiences with this business. The first they did quality work that I would stand behind. The 2nd I needed some paint work, or so I thought. They told me they could buff it out. About 5 minutes later it was buffed out. No bill. They said there was no reason to bill me for what took 5 minutes. I can't speak highly enough of this place!”

I spoke with Tony and a lady at the front office, and both provided wonderful service from start to finish. My vehicle had several issues, but Tony and his team took care of every single one. I asked if he could hold my vehicle for a day until I returned to town, and he kindly agreed without hesitation. On top of that, Tony went above and beyond by replacing my key fob battery and giving my car a wash, both free of charge.
The day I was supposed to pick up my vehicle, Tony discovered an additional problem and offered to fix it at no cost. It’s the little things like this that truly set this shop apart from the rest.

“Unfortunately, this is the second time we’ve needed Armand and Lakeside Autorebuilders this year — but once again, they proved why we will never go anywhere else.
When my husband was recently in an accident, I called Armand to ask if he could help us. Even though he was fully booked through January, he still found a way to fit us in. We had the car towed to Lakeside, and instead of letting it sit for weeks while we waited for parts, Armand went above and beyond: he literally cut a hole in the bumper to pull out the bent muffler so the car would be safe to drive.
Since this accident was considered 50/50 fault, we only had 30 days of rental coverage — and Armand saved us from paying for extra out of pocket rental fees. He did all this before insurance had even gotten involved. He didn’t do it for business; he did it because he’s genuinely a good person.
He knew we were just trying to get another year out of our 11-year-old car, and he helped make that possible. Once the parts arrived, he called us, we dropped the car off, and it was finished in LESS THAN A WEEK. He even removed the old peeling dealer sticker and fixed the trunk springs that kept giving out — small things, but incredibly appreciated.
I never expected to be on a first-name basis with an auto body repair guy, but after being saved twice this year, I’m grateful we found Armand. Hopefully we get a break from accidents… but if we ever need help again, we’re only going to Lakeside.

Robert gave me a quote for stripping, repairing, and repainting the affected doors, when George (the owner) returned, he adjusted the quote down for me! When I came back to pick up my car after a very quick turnaround everything was close to 100%, but I had some feedback on the finish quality. George took care of it no questions asked and when I came back again everything looked great. Good guys and hassle free.”

“I was recently involved in a minor car collision that left some transfer paint marks on my vehicle. The damage wasn’t severe, so I didn’t want to go through my insurance and end up paying a $500 deductible plus rental fees for such minor repairs.
