“What a classy place. I just called in inquire about a repair on a Brother printer/scanner/fax. The gentleman spent 10 min on the phone with me clarifying what the issue was. We walked through some self service options, and advised against a repair, as it would cost more than the unit is worth. Not only did he save me money on repairing an older unit, but his free advice fixed the printing. 5 stars for integrity and knowledge.”
“I had a great experience at CPR Cell Phone Repair in Skokie. I spilled some water on my 14-inch MacBook Pro and started having issues with the power button. I first took it to the original retailer, and they told me that since I only had the extended warranty and not accidental coverage, my only option was to send it to Apple for repair at an estimated cost of around $1,900. That was obviously not what I wanted to hear.
I then brought my laptop to CPR and worked with Edgar, and I’m very glad I did. He quickly diagnosed the problem and found corrosion where the power button connects to the motherboard. He explained everything clearly and was honest about the repair. Edgar fixed the issue for a fraction of the cost and my MacBook works perfectly now. Professional, knowledgeable, and fair pricing. I highly recommend CPR in Skokie and especially Edgar if you want real solutions without getting ripped off.”
“I came here about a year ago and honestly I’m so sorry I’m late for a review but this company is that good. I didn’t forget about their services. They were fast and extremely friendly. They gave me a discount and my phone, because of them, still works excellently up to now. When I got it back, the screen was better than its original! I also talked to a guy traveling from like an hour away who came to see these guys. To paraphrase what he said, he was pretty much telling me this place is worth the drive. “Joe and Bob at Royal Home Entertainment were able to magically transform my “rat’s nest” of dozens of non-terminated and unlabeled cat5 cables into a seamless multi-room wifi system controlling four rooms and two 5.1 surround theater areas, using different TVs (one TCL Roku and one Sharp) across a mesh network. It took two days of hard work but Bob was incredibly patient throughout the process, tenacious, answered all my questions, worked closely with the Denom support team, and spent extra time and effort (at no cost) making it all look cosmetically nice by adding new wall plates and organizing the mess of cables. Couldn’t recommend them more highly!”

Starting with a repair on the volume pot on my college 1980 Aiwa integrated amp that I was sure was destine for the recycle bin. I've got a higher end Tandberg power, preamp and FM tuner set that he keeps like new for me. Be ready to see more piled up old electronics than you've ever seen in one place.
