“Kids won't understand how we grew up with comic books unless more stores like this exist and thrive. I've been in here several times, usually just to browse and wax nostalgic on my teenaged years. Vernon, the shop owner, is a delight to talk with. He's got a heck of a selection of marvel, dc, and other comic book titles in stock, plus games and anime and magazines. It's quite refreshing and I highly recommend you visit!”

They have a wide selection of great athletes... including many Chicago favorites. I was amazed at their jersey displays. Lastly I'll mention the authenticated Babe Ruth signed baseball. Go see it before it's gone!! They have great jersey packs as well. Support local business ?”

They even have travel sized games that are great in the car or for out of town adventures!Rob and the team were so awesome (I wish I could remember the other gentleman's name). “Great selection and a clean store. Needs more staff, they are qoeking with a skeleton staff which is sad because they have great people that work there. They added self checkout kiosks which probably explains the lack of staff. Shame on corporate on doing that because I bought alot more when you had people to guide around and give creative suggestions and upsell. Their framing department is very knowledgeable and has great people. Got a ton of stuff done there including the gi my Sensi gave me.”

“I love Blick Art Materials! It is like going into a candy store for me. As an art educator I ordered the school supplies for the students from Blick's for many years. I am also a practicing artist and I have always been so impressed by the knowledgeable and friendly staff. They really know their products and will readily help navigate the store to find the materials and mediums I'm looking for. They always have good sales. We are so fortunate to have Blick Art Materials close by. A special shout out to Liz and Clinton for helping me with what I needed the other day!”
“Recently purchased a new frame to display my diploma, which I had allowed to languish in the closet for decades and was reminded that in addition to craft items, Michael's also had a frame department. The frame, being oversized, had some built in hangers, but since I didn't feel comfortable with aligning the screw-in units on the wall, I simply wanted an old fashioned wire hanger on the back. Given my experience with other frame shops, I expected I would have to drop it off and come back the following week to pick it up. The young gentleman working in the department, Flavius, surprised me by telling me I could swing back within the hour and pick it up. I went off to do some shopping at the Eddie Bauer Outlet and within a half hour received a phone call from Flavius telling me I could pick up the frame! Thanks, Flavius, for a great experience. Wish all shopping could be this excellent.”
