“Justice Wine & Spirits has a small but decent selection of bourbon, carrying a mix of standard offerings and a few allocated bottles like E.H. Taylor Small Batch, Blanton’s, and Eagle Rare 10. While it’s nice to see allocated bottles on the shelf, the pricing on them is higher than expected—with E.H. Taylor Small Batch at $99, I’d assume the others are similarly marked up.
Beyond that, the bourbon selection overall is pretty limited, with just a handful of standard bottles. If you’re looking for a wide variety or competitive prices, this may not be the best stop. That said, if you’re in the area, it might be worth a quick look to see what’s in stock.”
“EM Food & Liquor is a decent-sized store with a mix of everyday bourbons and a few allocated finds. The bourbon selection is somewhat limited, but they do have bottles placed in multiple areas—on the shelves, behind the counter, and in separate displays, so it’s worth taking a good look around.
One of the more interesting bottles I spotted was Baker’s 13, which isn’t something you see every day. They also had a few allocated bottles like Blanton’s ($199) and Weller 12 Year ($300), but the pricing on those was definitely on the high side. If you’re looking for a daily drinker at a fair price, the selection here is a bit lacking compared to other stores in the area.
That said, the store itself is clean, well-stocked, and has a wide variety of beer, wine, and other spirits. The staff was friendly and pointed me toward the bourbon section, which was appreciated. While I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this store, I wouldn’t completely write it off either. If I’m passing by, I may stop in just to see if something new pops up.
A solid store for general liquor shopping, but serious bourbon hunters may want to check elsewhere for better pricing and selection.”
“Zach’s Food & Liquor is a small, local shop with a friendly atmosphere and a well-organized selection of beer, wine, and spirits. While it’s not a prime destination for bourbon hunting, they do carry a few staples like Buffalo Trace, Maker’s Mark, and Bulleit Bourbon at reasonable prices. They also had a couple of allocated bottles behind the counter, such as Eagle Rare for $75.
The staff was helpful and attentive—as soon as I walked in, they greeted me and pointed me toward their bourbon selection. Though the overall selection was pretty limited, it’s still a decent spot for locals looking to grab a bottle of something familiar.
If you’re looking for a hard-to-find bourbon, this probably isn’t the place, but if you’re nearby and need a quick stop for beer, wine, or everyday spirits, Zach’s is a solid, convenient option. Plus, there’s a taco spot next door—always a bonus!”
“United Liquors in Justice, IL, is a fantastic spot for bourbon hunters and spirits enthusiasts alike. This store has an excellent selection across all categories, with an impressive variety of bourbon, whiskey, tequila, and more. The bourbon section alone spans a full aisle, multiple end caps, and even spills into the next aisle, making it one of the more well-stocked liquor stores I’ve visited.
One of the standout features here is how they handle allocated bottles—instead of keeping them hidden in the back or behind the counter, they put them out for the public to purchase, which is a refreshing approach. It’s always great to walk into a store and see those harder-to-find bottles available without having to ask or be on a secret list.
Beyond the selection, the staff is top-notch—friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. They answered all of my questions and even provided insights on when they typically receive new shipments, with Wednesdays and Thursdays being key days for deliveries.
This store is absolutely worth visiting, whether you’re looking for an allocated bottle, a solid everyday pour, or something unique. I’ll definitely be keeping United Liquors in my regular rotation to check for new arrivals and great finds. Highly recommend!”
