“I absolutely love this Trader Joe's in a while. This Trader Joe's seems a little bit smaller than other neighboring ones. I really do like it because every time I walk in here someone who works here is incredibly friendly and helpful. I have only been to this place once in the last four years when it was slightly empty, and there was not a line for check out, the parking here is absolutely horrible. Whoever designed this strip mall with as many stores as there are as well as how narrow the driving lanes are is ridiculous. The only downside to this location is that anytime there are great seasonal items you have to be here, fast and early otherwise they are gone.”

“I love shopping at Heinen's- particularly like the fruits and vegetables area- always very fresh. Also like the fish counter a lot- again, very fresh. We've also ordered some sushi plates for various events and the sushi has always been a treat as well.”

“Tried for the first time today with some filets and boy howdee what an excellent cut of meat. My spouse complimented me that it was the best filet she's ever had, and as much as that's a compliment to me, it's just as much a compliment to the folks running this shop. The beef was excellent, the service was friendly and personable, and all around, I can't wait to go back soon. I'll probably try some flank steak next time!!!”

“My first time shopping here was last night, the place was clean and the shelves were well stocked and nicely organized. The employees/staff were very helpful in assisting me to locate a couple of items. The checkout clerks were efficient and polite. She even asked me if I needed some assistance in getting my groceries to my car, because I was utilizing the handicap electric mobility cart. I like shopping here, my only complaint is that there is only one handicap electric mobility cart, the management needs to add a couple more. If the cart had not been there, I would not have been able to walk thru all those aisles without suffering great pain in my legs....besides that, I highly recommend shopping here.”

“** Kind Staff ** ** Not so Hidden Gem ** Honestly Meijer is a place I only hit up when it's Christmas time, I have no idea why. They have a massive selection of everything! Chances are if you need it they have it and at a reasonable price. Christmas time is a no brainer. When hunting for that hot toy you have to hit all the stops. Sadly I was unsuccessful this year in what I was looking for but I did leave with a handful of other gifts and what nots. I have to mention their men's department. They have a wonderful selection for men's casual dress and I'm always on the hunt for something different. I did leave with something for myself . The four stars is because it kind of reminds me of the dying days of a certain K*art. A bit messy. Their departments need to look more purposeful and inviting. Right now it just looks like an outdated warehouse filled with stuff. They need to do better. I decided I need to be back more often. Definitely won't wait for Christmas.”

“I love how other people review this chain of supermarkets and think they will find pricing compared to Jewel or Mariano's. The difference with Sunset Foods is that they offer a lot of options, more high end, than the cheaper larger competitors. What you'll find at Sunset are departments with friendly and helpful staff. management that cares about its customers, and people willing to help at every turn of the store. Sure, I know I'm paying more for the same food and produce I can get elsewhere cheaper, but the quality is better at Sunset and the produce tends to last longer. I love the fact that as you bring your cart to pay, the management is there to guide you to an available cashier or a short line and then they empty your cart onto the belt. They help you to your car and even load your groceries in your trunk if you need the help. There are no other stores in our area (that I'm aware of) that have such great customer service. Lastly, one of the best services they have is that if they don't have an item you're looking for, you can let them know at customer service and they will get it in stock for you. Their customer service is unparalleled especially in how they go above and beyond to help you in your shopping experience.”

“What can you really say about Aldie? We’ve all been there. We all know what it’s like. Always stocked sometimes. You have to hunt for things as they’ve been misplaced. But if the overall experience is perfect it’s a Aldie. Only thing I hate is digging for a quarter for the stupid carts they should sell like some kind of device you can buy for like a buck or so that unlocks the carts maybe like a key tag or something I don’t know. That was my big is beef hunting for a quarter in the car and the person you know the routine. .”

“Love this store however I’m saddened as you guys changed the once incredible Signature Select thin crust pizza. I bought three seeing the package change and thought it was just updating the package. I cooked one at the 400 degrees specified and it curled up. The old pizzas were cooked at 450 degrees. I cooked a second one same issue and the sauce is completely different. I was a connoisseur of this wonderful pizza but no longer. The dough is different as well . I have eaten these for years , I now must rethink my whole frozen pizza strategy. I will continue to love this store however my whole frozen pizza life has been shattered!”

“This store is now our preferred Aldi location. The Palatine Aldi location is too crowded. Nobody wears a mask and there's only one cashier and a ton of self check lanes all being run by that one cashier. The palatine location is severely understaffed. Spoiled vegetables were left on the shelf. At this location it's a day and night difference. This Aldi has staff members floating around the shelves monitoring products and assisting people. The other one did not. People also seem to wear masks at higher frequency in this location. There are no self checkout lanes which is a slight let down as having one or two machines would be nice. The store is for the most part clean and the lighting inside is bright enough to see all products. There are no dim spots and the ceiling is fully finished instead of being unfinished warehouse beam. There was only cashier but she was ringing customers extremely fast showing that she really knew her stuff and knew how to run a register in turbo mode. She also maintained a personable demeanor despite running everything at super high speed. Very happy with this Aldi compared to the other Aldi!”
