“Excellent service on the lighting department. Number one the array of lighting is so fantastic. Each fixture is work of Art. They have a giant computer screen that you can scroll through to see every and any light fixture on the planet is totally enjoyable. My designer at the store is Katie and she was just perfect for me. Excellent communication, relaxed, friendly made it so easy for me to spend my money at Hortons. I will be back and I highly encourage anybody to come to the store it does say Ace hardware Hortons. The lighting is upstairs and the hardware section is downstairs.”

“I was surprised on how well they sharpened my lawnmower Blade. I know I should have tooken photos before it was sharpened, but man I am glad I took it here to get it sharpened. For only 8$ this was worth it.”

“I needed a small pane of glass cut. A man helped me out and cut the proper cut. While there I got to chat with another friendly staff person. I walked around to look for a crystal cabinet knob...but they were all out. The man at the cash register was also friendly and wished me a great day. I felt good shopping here to support a local business rather than the big box store. I will go there again when I am in the neighborhood.”

“I came in today because I had juat purchased a portable washing machine for my new apartment that doesn't have laundry. I should have done more research on the water connection pieces, as thwre is not a functional adapter for my extendable kitchen sink hose. Anyways, even though there isnt a part to help me here - the employee I spoke with (Adam) was absolutely and genuinely trying to find other work around for my dilemma. When I walked up and he approached, I was put of breath from health issues and nerves so I stumbled a bit and trying to explain the purpose of my visit. I have worked and been a customer for years and knowing this was likely a fruitless effort - Adam again was patient and honestly just a salt of the earth, willing to help and was concerned about my plumbing issue to go so far as to again try to think of other things I could do to have to not return a 3 cubic ft washing machine to Amazon. I hope the owner sees this - because if I ran a business, Adam would be my first hire.”

“For truck drivers... entrance is the west gate. Pull up to the gate and call the number posted. Pretty easy backing. Unload time is about an hour. Getting to the delivery can have some tight turns but overall not bad.”

“King’s Hardware is a true neighborhood gem. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help you find exactly what you need. The store may not be huge, but it’s well stocked and organized. I appreciate the personal service you just don’t get at big chain stores.”
30 W Lake St, Addison IL 60101
“I’ve been going here for over 40 years, from when it was a single building, all the way up to the current layout. They have always been the go to place for those simple things, to those unusual fasteners and Pushmatic breakers. The running joke was, if Len’s didn’t have it, you didn’t need it. Well, with the invention of the internet and stuff, it’s a little less true, but still great for product. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, always great with their service department, I love their propane refill service.”
1750 N Taft Ave, Berkeley IL 60163
“You would be surprised at the stuff they carry. I don't think I have had to go to a big box store in a while. I like that there is always someone to help and they are very friendly and knowledgeable.”
20 East Quincy Street, Westmont IL 60559
“Nice store. I needed gardening gloves and landscaping waste bags. They were very conveniently placed near the cashier. The gardening glove selection is limited, but I was able to find a pair that fit my hands, and contained a protective leather tip for the index finger. Great for digging around river rocks. It’s a small store and the selection of product varieties is highly curated. But it’s my first stop to purchase items for my home’s hardware needs.”
837 S Westmore-Meyers Rd, Lombard IL 60148
“David at Ace Hardware is an absolute lifesaver! I was on a mission to find a very specific screw, and honestly, I was starting to lose hope. David didn't just point me in a direction; he walked me over, listened carefully to what I needed, and somehow knew *exactly* which obscure screw it was. David’s knowledge and patience were incredible. Ace Hardware is lucky to have him!”
6216 Main Street, Downers Grove IL 60516
“I want to give a huge thank-you to John at Ace Hardware today for his outstanding customer service! He went above and beyond to help me replace a part on our weed wacker, and he was incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. It’s so refreshing to receive this kind of personal service. John took the time to make sure I had what I needed and made the whole experience so easy. Thank you, John, for going the extra mile! Ace Hardware is lucky to have you!”

“Here's what I love about Shauer's Hardware: Everything. From the cast hammer door-pull to the wooden floors, to the back counter where they make keys, it's delightful. They almost always have what I need. The best part is the people who work there. They'll help you find whatever you came in for. They'll help you figure out what you need to get a project done. They're kind and courteous and know their stuff. They've never been patronizing to me (a female DYIer). You don't have to wander around looking for someone to help–THEY find YOU. I always leave there with a smile on my face and my faith in humanity intact. I love this place so much.”
5634 W 87th St, Burbank IL 60459

“My AC was leaking and had Antonio come resolve the issue. He was prompt and respectful. Fully explained what happened and how to prevent it in the future. As anyone knows it’s difficult to someone you can always rely on but AnyTemp has been my go to for HVAC related issues since recently installing a new furnace for me. All their employees are knowledgeable and take their time to explain what’s going on which is greatly appreciated. Fantastic work and value.”

“I ordered online and order was ready in less than 30 minutes. I arrived to store same day, was greeted lightly at entry but once I made it to pick up counter in back, it was comically inviting with Ken and another associate who was clocking out. I was able to get in on the joke a little but it was cute. Ken was great and helpful with immediately getting my order and confirming, once done he came out and said he would commute it to my car for me. I had questions about other salts and he was very helpful and friendly. Store is clean. Very quite well organized. Highly recommend”

“I had a great experience today at Woodcraft in Downers Grove. I brought in an old hand plane that I restored for some troubleshooting. Carl spent about 30 minutes working on it and eventually got it tuned up great. He was extremely knowledgeable and generous with his time. I really appreciated it. Two younger guys at the front desk were also very helpful. The store is immaculate and organized and I got some nice lumber at a great price.”
