“Family-owned small business. Never crowded. Staff is always friendly and the liquor selection seems to be very extensive. If you are in the neighborhood and need to, stop by this place and support a local small business.”
“A lovely couple owns and runs the establishment. I am always impressed with the selection of beer, wine and sake they have available. I love being able to try a beer I've noticed but can't commit to buying a 6pack.”
“This is the best liquor store in Chicago. They have everything you need and more importantly the staff and security are so friendly and helpful every time. The store is always clean. Nik has a heart of gold, you leave feeling better than when you came in.”
“Bottles & Cans provided the wine/pop for our wedding and did an incredible job. Carly did a tasting with us, and she was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us to pick out the perfect wines. The shop was so welcoming. Everything was so personalized and customizable. Honestly one of our favorite vendors to work with, everything felt curated and special but not fussy or overpriced. Some of the bottles we ended up serving are definitely going to be go-tos in our house in the future.”
“Nothing better than a wine shop with friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable staff. This place checks all the boxes, lots of natural wines. I’ll be back for sure”
“Kol Tuv is a hidden gem on Devon Ave in Chicago. It is a specialty grocery store that carries an eclectic variety of foods that cater to all different populations. They have all the items you would find in a typical grocery store plus gluten free, dairy free, kosher, gourmet etc. When you go, you must check out the selection of chocolates and candies. The staff is friendly and helpful and the store is immaculate. This store makes grocery shopping fun and exciting! Hope you love it as much as we do!”

“Sometimes it's hard for me to try the relatively new places. I'm decidedly old school when it comes to burger joints or any joint for that matter. All the bells and whistles and n many of the new spots just don't add up to good grub meat ch less great grub. Not the case with Bitter Pops by a long shot. Sure they are kinda new and are a good looking joint with all the bells and whistles, great decor, nice bar, etc. etc. you just assume the burgers are gonna be just meh. The smash burger here is pretty bomb is all I can say. A very righteous burger in a land of too many average burgers. The double smash patties are cooked just right and crispy on the edges. Topped with the bare minimum you get to actually taste meat and not a slather of toppings. They ration of smash burger to toppings is on time. Accompanied by a side of house chips is the right move. You don't even need to add anything on this smash burger. I'm be if those guys who always adds ketchup mayo whatever. Not so with Bitter Pops burger. The service is excellent as well. We sat at the bar with a really cool and pretty female bartender. I wish I recall her name but I'll get it next time. She was knowledgeable about the offerings and super friendly. That's half of the experience and she hit it outta the park. Try these folks at Bitter Pops you won't regret it.”
“What’s not to love about this shop? The owner and team are always super approachable and excellent with recommendations. I’ve had nothing but the most delicious (for me) wines from here because they know what they’re talking about! Don’t bother with the wine at WF. Get your charcuterie there and then head to Independent Spirts.”
“I recently discovered Wilmette Market, a newly established, family-owned store near me, and I couldn’t be happier with it! The store is incredibly well-organized, making it easy to find whatever you need. Their prices are great and very reasonable, especially for the quality of the items they offer.
Harry, one of the owners, is extremely helpful and always goes out of his way to assist with finding things. He’s super friendly and makes you feel welcome every time you stop by. His father is equally kind and approachable, making this market a warm and inviting place to shop.
Whether you’re looking for alcohol, snacks, or other kinds of drinks, Wilmette Market has it all. I highly recommend that people in the area stop by and check it out. Not only will you find great products, but you’ll also meet some genuinely nice people. Harry and his father are the kind of people you’d want to make friends with—they’re just that chill!
Support this local gem, you won’t be disappointed!”
“This is my go to place for beer in the Skokie area. They have a wide selection along with spirits, wine, cheese and other snacks.
The staff is extremely friendly and if there's a specific beer/spirit you're looking for, they can pre-order it for you.
Swing by if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed!”
“The wine and liquor selection is excellent. There is also a huge team of very knowledgeable staff that will make recommendations based on your want. I picked up an excellent single vineyard champagne and several international white wines on my most recent visit to the Lincoln Park store”
“It is so clear that this is a passion project. Everything in this store is carefully thought out. Nearly every bottle has a handwritten paragraph about it. There is so much variety packed into one little shop without the snobbery you might find at comparable places. Price points at all levels, too! Also, Thursday wine tastings are so much fun! I have learned so much about wine from going to these tastings when I can. Everyone that works here is super knowledgeable and patient. My husband and I bring our 3 young kids and everyone is always so cool and understanding. I would give it more stars if I could!”
“Simply some of the best sandwiches in Evanston. And they are very good sized meaning you can pretty much make two meals from one sandwich for lunch. chips are pretty darn good as well.”
“Great store competitive pricing. This store is impressive. Talk about organized, they also price match. National beverage is a must visit. Come on in and shop with these folks, great characteristics, friendly attitudes and always ready to crack a good joke to start of finish your day. Great store with wonderful people. Keep up the great work. You Are winning. I give this store 25 stars.”
“This wine shop is wonderful. Guy, the owner, couldn’t be nicer and is incredibly knowledgeable about wine. On top of that, he goes out of his way to get to know his customers and remembers what wines they like. He is so friendly and welcoming and has a great wine selection. We’ve also been to private events here as well and they are wonderful. Couldn’t recommend the shop more!!!”
“Had a good experience while grabbing a couple drinks for the weekend. Everyone was very friendly and there was a big selection of drinks! Right around the corner from my apartment and a great location.”
“Very friendly everyone is very helpful even when they're busy, and I must say they're are always busy but still have the time to help me out if not anyone else. Which I really appreciate it alot. The shelves are always stock up to the max and I have no problem finding anything I need and /or want on whatever that I need. I live close to this place and this is my first and go-to fast store to shop for things like beer, cigarettes, milk and snacks little stuff like that. The only thing I wish that I wish they would have is to accept the link card, but they don't. I think they would have more business if they did accept the link card but it's all good though. I really really like this store as being a go-to number 1 place to visit if you need a quick bite of something to eat or drink of anything like that.”
“Wilmette food Mart it’s good place to get everything you need almost as far as food and liquor. Best price around town and cold beer always. The family that runs it is amazing and they have been taking care of us for years. Just feel like I need to show my Neighbourhood spot some love.”
“Love Joong Boo Market. I can find great produce, Korean seasonings, seasoned seaweed, dumplings, marinated bulgogi, and so much more. It's like a mini Asian Costco.

Carries fresh produce
Great meat and fish counter
Lovely selection of spices and sauces
Frozen section has dumplings, shumai, rice cakes, frozen dinners, desserts
Wild snack section
Has an attached houseware shop
Parking lot
I'm short, and can still reach the top shelf easily.
A fresh dumpling shop on site
An amazing mini restaurant
Staff is always friendly and helpful
Cons
Parking lot is always full, tight corners, difficult to maneuvers
Isles are really close together, sometimes barely the width of two tiny grocery carts side by side”
“I often come to Olivia’s Market for a quick lunch, and I must say…. 10/10! Today was a chilly day in Chicago, and I was craving some S O U P ! All their soups are delicious. Had their tomato soup w/ their Ava’s bread ! Yum!
P.s. this is a great place to pick up flowers for your loved ones. They have definitely helped me get on the good side of a few my ex’s haha”
“You might think it is just a warehouse of spirits and you'd be right. However, this location has staff members that are knowledgeable and take time to answer your questions and to listen and formulate options that you may not have considered. Great location!”
“Great conversation with the young man at the counter yesterday afternoon. He was able to pass along some great recommendations along with a few of his own bourbon experiences. Highly recommend this store in your travels.”
“I had a really great experience at Diversey Wine! The wine expert there was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us to pick the perfect wine for our friend’s dinner. This cool wine shop curates natural wines from around the world, which is a step up from organic! I appreciate the curatorial approach because I didn’t feel overwhelmed with too many selections. So if you’re looking for a curated approach to amazing natural wines, try Diversey!”
“Best burgundy store around. Some of the most knowledgeable people I know in this business. Always a pleasure to talk to and do business with. I have been a happy customer for decades. They do a terrific job of gift wrapping and shipping as well. Cheers! ?”
“must recommend to visit the store affordable and cheaper price as well as many ongoing discounts, also nice customer service for everyone love to going back here for buying more stuffs”

“I usually go to Binny’s in Lincolnwood, not ever a positive experience. We went to the binny’s in Portage Park—the staff is so friendly, and helpful. After spending $200, we walked out with smiles. This is my new place for wine and bourbon! Thank you all!!”
“I was here earlier in the week while I was staying in Chicago just down the street from the market. I was hungry at 9 pm and found them to be open, ready to serve and delivering one fantastic sandwich! Highly recommended!”
“The ladies from The Red Balloon suggested this place for a great bottle of wine. The wine was a gift so we didn’t get to try it *sadly* but we very much enjoyed the selection and service. Thank You!”
“Have shopped here for a few years now and love this place, so glad to have them in the neighborhood. Today I went in and basically accused them of a mistake from the day before. They graciously explained how it wasn't really possible and I quickly saw that my claim was silly. At no point did they make me feel bad or anything. I have no doubt that any of the guys working here would have provided the same kind service.
Love how there's always multiple new and interesting things in the coolers (tbh I'm not a wine/spirits person). When I've asked questions on my picks, they always have answers. Surprising, given the selection they have.
Highly recommend this little neighborhood alcohol store.”
“I’ll just comment on what I know and that’s agave.
Tequila selection is amazing, incredible additive free choices.
Mezcal selection is lacking, but there’s some good choices”
