But that's not why I'm rating them five stars. They were super responsive throughout and I didn't have to waste time on the phone (the most inefficient and error prone form of communication known to man).

“When I moved up here from Hawaii I was looking for a performance shop that specialized in Subies to do the stuff I could not do myself. I was recommended P&L. They also specialize in Volkswagen and Audi but I've seen them working on pretty much anything performance wise. In my case, Subaru wise, they've been amazing. Trying to find answers on forums is rough, you get conflicting info. P&L has always been straight forward and honest with me which is why, any time I have questions or concerns, I turn to them. For example, about 2 years ago I was curious about what it would take to run a reliable flex fuel tune on my 2011 STI that I daily w/ roughly 85k miles. I asked for their recommendations and it took me about a year to gather the parts and finally have everything installed and tuned (by their in house tuner) on my STI at ~95k miles making 350whp and much more torque. 10 months later, ~108k miles, still going strong on stock motor and turbo. Most recently I came in to get the FA500 coilovers I installed properly aligned and 2015+ STI steering rack (their recommendation) installed. They lifted and leveled my suspension that I had way too low and did a great job. Car feels better than before I dropped it off. My buddies that bought Subies also bring their's to P&L. I already do, but I will recommend P&L to anyone with a Subie for sure, they've made my vision for my car a reality. That's why I 'll always run their license plate cover. Credit where it's due, my car would not be where it is without them.

Oh, lastly, my favorite mod that Ian at P&L recommended during my flex fuel build was their uppipe w/ a TurboSmart 40mm EWG w/ dump tube. Best sound ever!

Another addition: I’ve since had a new IAG 750 longblock installed by P&L, because I wanted to make more power and wanted to go for a rotated setup. This required running a standalone ECU as I wasn’t able to be tuned on the AP due to my emissions deletes. The P&L team patiently answered all my questions, I had many, and also made recommendations. Communication was great. Once it was all said on done the car is making 606whp and 490wtq. It was tuned conservatively on my request but there’s definitely more in it. I’ve been daily driving it since and it runs great! I’m more than happy with the end result. I’ve been bringing my car here for a few years now and have nothing but good experiences.”
