“Went here yesterday for passport services and came away pleasantly surprised. First off, the building itself is pretty cool—nice bonus. The staff were genuinely helpful from the start. They walked us through the documents, helped take the passport photo, and handled everything with a friendly, easygoing attitude.
The whole process was quick and smooth. She clearly explained what happens next and made sure we didn’t have any questions before we left. No confusion, no hassle.
I’ll be honest—I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews, but that wasn’t my experience at all. Everything felt well-run and efficient. Would definitely recommend.”
“I had an extraordinary experience in customer service excellence because of a clerk #13 by the name of Sharon‼️ I came in literally right before closing and she was very busy working however, greeted me with professionalism, care, friendliness and patience as she helped me with my package and it was basically near closing time! Sharon stopped what she was doing to assist me and I saw her also multitasking greeting others with the same grace at the “9th hour,” if you will‼️ She anticipated my needs and exceeded my expectations in a matter of minutes‼️

Once to get money order (expected), once to get offered options for tracked mailing and get form to fill out for certified mail, and finally to mail it. I have been to several other post offices in area that would have combined at least the first two steps.”

“Overall, my experience with this Post Office has been excellent. My daughter and I recently applied for our passport books here, and the process was smooth, comfortable, and efficient. Antoinette stepped in to assist us while the regular passport clerk was helping another customer, and she was wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and so personable that she made us feel like we were being helped by a good friend or neighbor.
Having grown up in New York City and lived in several states along the East Coast and down to Florida, I can honestly say this is one of the best Post Offices I have experienced. I have never had a problem coming here, getting what I need done, and leaving satisfied. The employees are consistently working and moving, they know their jobs, and I especially appreciate that they actually interact with customers, laugh, joke, and seem to enjoy working together.
There are only a few areas I believe could improve the experience: better air conditioning, especially during hot summer days and heat waves; a small bench or seating area for seniors and customers with mobility limitations; and better staffing coverage during peak hours, particularly lunchtime and after work. Like many Post Offices, breaks and lunches sometimes happen during the very hours when customers need the most clerks available. Having additional coverage during those times could help keep the lines moving even faster.
Other than that, this team deserves recognition. And while I’m sure some customers have had less-than-perfect experiences, after reading some of the reviews, I have to say, with a little humor, that I think we may be a bit spoiled here in the Chicagoland area! You have Post Offices that stay open late and even locations open seven days a week. Coming from the East Coast, I had never heard of such a thing! Sometimes you don’t realize how good you have it until you’ve experienced the difference elsewhere.”

“I love this post office. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. They go out of their way to show me a less costly rate and explain the details. I live in Lombard and the staff there are rude and never friendly or helpful. When asked a question their faces show a look of disgust and then a sign; like I'm bothering them”
“I use this location very often for an online selling business. Usually if the there is a long line I will just drop my letters off in the parcel box. But if there is no line I love handing my package off and getting to see the workers. They are super kind and friendly. A lot of people say there is never anyone there, but this location has a terrible management team. They usually only have one person working at a time, and if you have to use the bathroom or do something then there will be nobody manning the counter. I still like this location. Only ever had one issue and it was mostly my fault.”
“Went around lunchtime and I was the only customer in there. Super helpful at front desk. I haven't sent out a package in a bit and forgot to add a label (to/from). Luckily the lady at the front desk gave me a marker to fill it out and gave me options for sending. Paid and got out as fast as I could write. Thanks.”

“I’ve had consistently great experiences at this post office, and it’s become my go-to location for both everyday mailing needs and more important services. We regularly drop off prepaid packages here, and the process is always quick, smooth, and hassle-free. The staff keeps things moving efficiently, so even when it’s busy, we’re usually in and out without any problems.
One of the standout experiences was renewing our passports here. The process was clearly explained, organized, and handled professionally from start to finish. The employees were knowledgeable and patient, making sure everything was completed correctly, which gave us a lot of confidence. Even better, we received our renewed passports much faster than expected, which was a pleasant surprise and really shows how well things are handled.
The overall atmosphere is welcoming and professional, and the team consistently provides helpful, friendly service. It’s nice to have a reliable post office where you know your packages and important documents are being handled with care. Whether you’re mailing something simple or handling more complex services like passports, this location makes the entire experience easy and stress-free. Highly recommended!”
“I see a lot of negative reviews here, but I gotta say that my experience at this location has been pretty positive. My mail carrier is great and when I've gotten a notice that a delivery attempt was made, but no one was home, I've always been able to get it the next day without issue. The hours do make it tough, but luckily I have the flexibility to get to the facility when they are open. I did have to call once after tracking a package and finding out it was at the facility but hadn't been delivered. The individual I spoke with (I wish I'd gotten his name...) was helpful and pulled someone out of a meeting to help me track it down. They found the package and I picked it up later that day. Sometimes they get it right!!!”

“Dropped off a labeled signature package here, didn't get a scan for a week. I suppose this could have been partly my mistake because I didn't ask for a receipt, but either way. I called the postmaster and the missing mail line, package tracking updated 2 days later.
Not too fast, and I did have to ask, but the postmaster was very kind on the phone, and my issue did end up getting resolved just a day after I spoke to her, and all things considered, pretty fast for government work.
4 stars. Would most likely use them again.”
