“I stayed here last year when moving my daughter into school and never had any issues. Stayed here again this week and again no issues. The staff is great and friendly. The hotel and rooms are clean. They have a good breakfast and the guys overseeing it are amazing!! Would definitely recommend.”
“This hotel has three floors and houses a swimming pool. There is a pub adjacent to the hotel lobby.
The room is really clean, nice and neat. The sheets smell good and are crisp.
The location is strategic being near restaurants in the heart of downtown Carbondale.

“We were visiting interesting parks in our state and wanted to cross Giant City State Park off our list. We stayed the night at Makanda Inn after a day of beautiful hikes. The Inn was wonderful, clean, friendly, and included a delicious homemade breakfast. It’s a small, eco friendly, thoughtful newer build in the middle of the forest. I will make a point of staying here whenever I’m in the area and I couldn’t recommend higher. Wonderful people were the icing on the cake.”
