“A DSW employee truly made my day. I’ll admit, I walked into the store pretty frustrated. I’ve worn the same shoe size since I was a teenager, so when I ordered two pairs of work shoes online and couldn’t even get my feet into them, it was incredibly disappointing. Sizing should be consistent - an inch is an inch! - yet women’s sizes seem to vary so much, and it’s frustrating every time.

I came into the store planning to simply return both pairs. The associate who helped me was so friendly and asked if I wanted to look around or try to find a replacement instead of doing a straight return. I wasn’t planning on it, but I really did need work shoes, so I decided to take a quick look, and I’m glad I did.

I immediately found a pair in my usual size that worked perfectly even though it wasn’t the same style I originally ordered. Since it wasn’t an even exchange, I had to do a return and a separate purchase. That’s when things could have gotten stressful, because I was completely unprepared. I didn’t have my payment on me, wasn’t logged into the app, and didn’t have any coupons. Totally my fault!

But the associate couldn’t have been more patient or kind. He reassured me while I ran out to my car to grab my card, and when I came back, he even offered to wait while I logged into my account to check for coupons. That small gesture meant so much. Thanks to him, I ended up saving 20% plus an additional $5 - and left with the work shoes I really needed.

It’s rare to come across that level of patience and genuine customer care. I left the store feeling relieved and appreciated. I’ll absolutely be coming back to this location.

“I have a large and unique foot pronated 13) and have lots of issues finding shoes I actually am willing to tolerate. They had a large selection of shoes that fit me, and after trying on nearly every shoe in my size after two with the help of their lovely sales associate, Liz, we finally found the prefect pair of Sketchers sneakers. Easily the best shoe I've ever had, on top of them providing new insoles that are now my favorite, much better than the hundreds I've spent trying to find insoles I like on amazon.
