“I I just wanna give a five star review To the ladies at the front desk area in Bellwood post office on Saint Charles they were very diligent in helping me calm my nerves because I was rattled out of a bit waking up and couldn’t find my mail due to my own. Mishap or what not bottom line they got down to the bottom of it literally and now I have found my mail and happily ever after. “Perhaps I’m used to the DMV-level of impatience that I’ve previously experienced at USPS locations, but the woman working on 7/10/26 (unfortunately didn’t catch her name) was an absolute rockstar. Not only was she patient with those that came in with questions, but she was kind, efficient, and taught me a few things about sending certified mail. Will continue coming here from now on”

“Went here yesterday for passport services and came away pleasantly surprised. First off, the building itself is pretty cool—nice bonus. The staff were genuinely helpful from the start. They walked us through the documents, helped take the passport photo, and handled everything with a friendly, easygoing attitude.
The whole process was quick and smooth. She clearly explained what happens next and made sure we didn’t have any questions before we left. No confusion, no hassle.
I’ll be honest—I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews, but that wasn’t my experience at all. Everything felt well-run and efficient. Would definitely recommend.”

“After having only lived in Westchester for a couple of years, I can happily state that this Post Office has the most helpful employees. Anytime I have gone in, I find them to be knowledgeable, professional, and helpful. I’d like to particularly call out the outstanding work that Stephanie does. Though there have been times when the lack of air-conditioning has left the lobby very hot, Stephanie has always maintained her upbeat positive outlook. This translates into great Customer Service! “I had an extraordinary experience in customer service excellence because of a clerk #13 by the name of Sharon‼️ I came in literally right before closing and she was very busy working however, greeted me with professionalism, care, friendliness and patience as she helped me with my package and it was basically near closing time! Sharon stopped what she was doing to assist me and I saw her also multitasking greeting others with the same grace at the “9th hour,” if you will‼️ She anticipated my needs and exceeded my expectations in a matter of minutes‼️

“Made an appointment to come and apply for my daughter’s passport. It was quick and easy. Already came with passport photos which I took on my phone with an app. Then I just printed them at Walgreens for $1.99 rather than paying $16.99. Already save cost there since purchasing a passport can be expensive.”

“Cute small and old style mail office conveniently placed in a small downtown area , I went for a couple stamps for postcards, the attention was really good , lola took time to search for some specialty stamps (american revolution ones) i was interested in , overall great service and wasn't busy at all”
“Kenneth is the best. He acknowledges everyone and happy to help. I was going to prioritize mail and he suggested certified to send tax info because as long as it’s postmarked, no penalties. He didn’t have to tell me this option. He saved me some money because he’s kind. This office is always friendly and nice. The other reviews are unfair. This is a small post office, but gets the job done in a friendly way!”

I always have a wonderful experience at this post office, thanks to Tim. He is incredibly kind, patient, and helpful every time I come in. He is always so sweet to my son and makes us feel welcome.
One time I didn’t have tape for my package, and Tim went out of his way to help me find some so I could get everything mailed. It’s little acts of kindness like that that make such a difference.
He is always professional, friendly, and willing to help with any questions. Customer service like his is hard to find these days. Thank you, Tim, for making every visit such a positive experience!”

“The lovely elderly lady who did our passports was just so kind gentle lovely spoke some words of wisdom to us and said if I was teaching my girls to write cursive I said yes she mentioned how sad that schools are not showing that anymore to students and she said make sure to practice because next time that you're here you will get to sign your own passport. She mentioned I won't be here anymore to witness but for sure you both will be back and that made me sad her saying that but what's overall customer service was amazing”

And even apologize for the wait was you are being helped. People just need to have patience these days and many don’t. I’m always greeted with a warm smile, and great service. “Strangely enough I have a fair bit of experiences with many different post offices in the area and this location is by far one of the nicest. The employees have come to recognize me and I am able to joke around with them which breaks the usual PO tension.”

Even under pressure, they're efficient with moving the lines when it gets busy, and most times I can get in and out quickly without any hassle. “This post office is my favorite, as long as you go through the week. If you go on saturday you will have opposite experience. The lady that works on the weekend does anything she can to do as little as possible. Through the week the employees are so nice and make sure to put the tracking, shipping labels and or postage on my packages themselves ensuring it is done right, weekend lady makes you figure it out and then gets rude when it isnt how she says its supposed to be and says cant be sent that way. I even watched her make a woman black out and rewrite the address because it was "upside down" as if they keep your packages neatly stacked and dont just throw them around. Im pretty sure on that rare occasion they need to turn or flip a box to read address ?? will never visit on a saturday again if i can avoid it.”

“Doing business mailing with the Post Office is often challenging at best. Their systems & documentation forms can rattle the best educated & retentive individuals I know. It can ruin one's day! But today, I had the pleasure of meeting & working with Deborah who handles Bulk Mailing as allowed by Permit Mailing. OMG, if all Postal Workers were this patient & understanding the PO would have a much better reputation. I give Deborah 5 Stars+, but the PO systems still only a 1 Star. Deborah, thanks for making my visit a positive experience!!”
