My first dog was neutered at a different facility and unfortunately became very sick afterward due to cleanliness issues. Because of that experience, I was extremely nervous when it was time for my second dog to be neutered. We decided to have his procedure done at Wheatland Animal Hospital, and the difference was night and day.

I received updates throughout the entire process, which gave me so much peace of mind. His surgery went perfectly, his recovery was smooth, and they even called me the next day just to check in and see how he was doing. That level of care meant so much to me.

“Dr. Chang has been our family vet for over 14 years, and he has looked after all 3 of my cats from kittenhood until end-of-life. He treats both humans and animals like family, with attentive follow-ups and incredible responsiveness.

During a blizzard in 2024, he immediately made time for me to bring in my cat who suffered a stroke. He does his utmost to ensure that my pets receive their medication on time, going as far as to approve a prescription when I bumped into him outside the clinic. When new conditions and treatment arise, he sits down with informative pamphlets to help clients understand what is happening to their pet, and what are the best options moving forward. One of my cats developed kidney disease, and Dr. Chang took the time to teach me how to administer subcutaneous fluids on my own at home. Thank you Dr. Chang for being their vet for their entire lives.

Update: I am finally getting a new kitten, and I will be going back to Dr. Chang soon. One piece of advice I’d leave for everyone is to always advocate for your pet and to come prepared with questions, because sometimes we miss things because we were too overwhelmed to ask. But rest assured that Dr. Chang will always help you consider all the outcomes. ??”
