“This store is awesome for collectibles and some precious childhood memories! From sanrio to barbies to comics and LOL and american girl dolls...they have so much cute things! The owner was very helpful and sweet! My daughters love their Labubus from here! We will definitely be going back!”
“The store is well-organized, clean, and filled with a thoughtfully curated selection of clothing, home goods, and unique treasures — all at affordable prices. Every visit feels like an adventure, and you never know what incredible items you’ll discover. The quality of the merchandise is consistently impressive, and it’s clear that everything is carefully chosen and well cared for. The layout makes browsing enjoyable, and the welcoming atmosphere encourages you to take your time exploring.
What makes Monarch Thrift Shop truly special is the warmth and heart behind it. The staff and volunteers are kind, helpful, and passionate about supporting the community through their work. They go above and beyond to create a positive experience for every customer, and the proceeds go toward a great cause, making each purchase even more rewarding. You leave not only with something wonderful but also with the satisfaction of supporting a business that gives back. Monarch Thrift Shop is more than just a thrift store — it’s a place where style, value, and compassion come together beautifully.”
“Really great thrift store with excellent prices. Kathy the owner was very friendly and explained to us how she likes to rotate the merchandise that she has in her shop. My daughter and her 30-year-old friends love to go thrifting so they can recycle gently used items instead of buying new items. The store had so many great items including a fantastic selection of new as well as vintage lamps, glassware, home decor, jewelry, furniture, shelving units and much much more. We will definitely be back to visit with Kathy and her cute dog Buddy.”
“If you’re into thrifting give New2You a try. I’ve found some great pieces and antique furniture in here for a really unbeatable price. The only downside is the close kind of early at 3:30 but if you get in during the early opening hours you’re sure to find some goodies.”
“This store has the coolest collections — you can really tell that there is so much thought into its curation. The sellers are so cool and kindhearted; they’ve created a community space in this storefront. VF is my new favorite vintage store in Chicago”
“The store manager was helpful and kind. She shared different content creators online to get inspiration from. I will definitely be returning with my mom to show her the place as well.”

“Give Jovan a raise and less responsibilities right now!!
I was in here and it was slammed and there was a line even with enough cashiers, which was no one's fault, everyone in line seemingly had some edge case issue. Jovan was handling helping fellow cashiers with their edge cases while handling my own which was that for years I've had two emails on my account and it's been confusing every time for me and the cashiers and no matter what no one could fix it. Well Jovan took notes, told me I was the second person today with this issue, and explained to me that he could not fix it but explained to me what could be done.”
“Lucille really helped me out by taking a bedroom set donation. The scheduler and the pick up guys were great! The pick up crew was very nice and careful. Much appreciated!”
“Thank goodness for AzteK Tire Shop. This is the only place that has our awkward tire size. Everyone is really friendly and very helpful. Tire was off the rim, put new tire on and mounted in less than 10 minutes. So if you have an awkward size tire look no further than the AzteK Tire shop in Wood Dale Illinois, they got you covered..
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“A worthy charity and my favorite thrift shop for clothing and housewares. Prices are very reasonable and you never know what you’ll find. They no longer sell furniture but decades ago I scored big time on a piece of Western Shaker. If you’re there early enough you too might find an antique treasure.”
“Some great finds with amazing prices! I also appreciate knowing that it's going to a good cause. The workers are volunteers and we're very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely go back to both donate and purchase items.”
“Great small thrift store! Prices are tagged by color, and the price list is posted behind the counter. The employee working there was very nice, and the store was clean, organized, and easy to browse. They have dressing rooms available, baskets to use, and a rack where you can hang items you're considering so you don't have to carry everything around. There's a good selection of women's and men's clothing, jewelry, and shoes, all fairly priced and affordable. I would definitely come back, and it's also very accessible by transit.”
“Happened upon while driving on Roosevelt.....Love the interesting finds and the fact they support a Cat Rescue!! They also have some Incense and Sage sticks along with some cool vintage threads! One of my finds were these 3 tiny Deer figurines! Purrrfect for my Fairy terrarium!!!”
“I walked in there just looking around and was met with such a great experience. The staff was so welcoming, helpful and kind. The items were all organized and really gorgeous. Such a beautiful boutique!”
“This is one of the best thrift stores in the north shore. It began years ago as a clothing exchange for the preschool that shares the building and evolved from there. They are so well organized and do an excellent job of putting items on sale when they have too much of something. They are volunteer run and donations go to local charities. It’s a gem of a place to donate and shop.”
“I cannot express enough how much I love this place! I always leave with the best finds. I find the prices to be very reasonable. The store associates are always super friendly. I've had a great experience both in person and over Instagram when they post the new items.”

“We had a wonderful experience here! We bought some sweaters and a few cute patches. They have stainless steel pet bowls here, as well as leashes, harnesses and other dog gear. Definitely a good place to stop if you're on a budget and want to support a fantastic rescue.”
“Love coming here!! It is a treasure chest of jewelry, clothing, shoes, house stuff and more. Today i found Salvador Ferragamo boots, in Chocolate brown in my size!! I bought a flower arrangement in a basket in perfect condition
And brand new mugs. I started Xmas shopping for sure! Nancy the manager is always so friendly and helpful. Thank you for expanding the store. It looks bright and shiny! Congratulations Wings and Nancy on a job really well done!”
“I had time to kill between testing at Lutheran General so I stopped in to roam the aisles and I’m so glad I did!
The store is extremely organized. The shelves are neatly stacked with countless treasures, separated by holiday, frames, kitchen items, serving dishes, mugs, decor etc. Everything was easily visible without having to lift or move things.
I did not shop for clothes but was impressed by the endless racks of items. Everything neatly hung separated by size and color. A coat did catch my eye which was vintage cashmere Mark Shale for $6.99. I snatched that right up. It’s gorgeous.
Next trip I will be spending more time going thru the clothing. The shoes are separated by color and there were many that caught my eye but I was running out of time.
The staff was incredibly friendly (well, the young man that checked me out was really the only person I interacted with) but he was great.
Looking forward to stopping by again.”
“I wavered between 3 and 4 stars for this review - I suppose a 3.5 is fair. Don't get me wrong - I absolutely love the restore. They have great treasures to find! Also, my family benefited from a Habitat house when I was growing up - it was a pivotal change in our life so I 100% support all their stores!!However, my decrease in stars comes from the employees/volunteers (not sure which) helping load the items. Next time I'm going to see if I can just use their carts and go get the items myself and take the lead as they load them. Here's the issue: I bought a couch for $200 and table with chairs for $125. The couch was in pretty good shape - no major issues. But I think when the person loaded it on the cart, they grabbed the cushion on the back of the couch and pulled it to life on the card. The middle cushion is now torn. I noticed before the loaded it in the van and said something to the other person helping to load it but it was kinda just brushed off. I could have returned it but need a couch so I figure I'll just get it fixed and be careful for now. Then, the table looked awesome but they put it upside down in the van and then pulled it out to take the legs off. At some point during that, the top of the table was scratched pretty bad. I also saw this and mentioned it to the person but was brushed off more or less. Not really in a rude way - they were all very nice - but just in-different to it. Again, I could have returned it but need it so I'll fix it later.I'll update this review with pics when I can.”
“Ms. Nicole Wingate is spectacular at her job. She made me aware of jobs I had experience for that I never even considered when I was searching. Nicole is a people person. She has a great way of tailoring a person's work background to fit potential job leads. I have to compliment her on helping me write a great resume which is going to improve my chances of landing a new job successfully. Awesome recruiting. I can't praise her enough. Thx!”
“Fabulous shop with amazing finds! One of the best curated thrift stores I’ve ever visited - with the best owner! The selection here is incredible; every rack feels intentional and thoughtfully chosen. Clothing, accessories, and home décor are well organized, making it easy to find high-quality pieces.
The store is clean, welcoming, and has a boutique-like feel while still offering great prices. There is care put into sourcing and displaying items.
If you love thrifting but appreciate a well-curated, stylish experience, this place is a gem to seek out. I have found some really unique items. Highly recommend!”
“One my favorite thrift stores. The prices have gone up in recent years but the selection is always good and the Monday and Tuesday sales are worth the trip to this gem.”
“I see a couple reviews of 1 star that prices are outrageous and staff is rude. (1) This is so incorrect!!! I'm there every weekend shopping for the last 10 years and not once have I come across a rude employee, upper staff member or volunteer. (2) The prices are extremely fair and lower than all competitors. I've bought many things from here that I've seen at antique stores for 4x the price. Every month Wings has a specific color price tag that is 75% off for whatever items that color price tag is on. Every weekend furniture is 50% off and the last weekend of every month the entire store is 50% off. In my opinion Wings is the best resale store around and has 3 locations, Prospect Heights, Schaumburg and Niles. I've been an antique collector and resale shopper for 36 years and Wings is a great place and always filled with customers.”
“Nice and genuine people.Everyone is very helpful and kind. I go there on every Monday and Wednesday. It's really fun and new learnings. Hats off to their work”
