Reasonable prices.A year since I wrote this review, give or take, and I generally no longer go to Home Depot and Countryside Illinois because it appears multiple staff changes have caused the service in a variety of departments to diminish. They seem to be much more helpful at the local Menards. as long as I go to Home Depot in Countryside Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM I could expect reasonable help with better than average expertise. If I go at other times when I try not to if I go at all the staff working there to be poorly trained, particularly in lumber, plumbing, electricity, gardening, but the checkout is generally quick and easy.”

“This is probably my favorite hardware store in the country; and I have been from Virginia to Hawaii, and Florida to Wisconsin. They are helpful finding items 95% of the time.One drawback is also its strength - is that the store is so large.I wish they had more brands of hand tools beside workforce.I also wish there were some common items like studs, posts, or drywall inside the store if you only need a couple; then you don't need your car for checkout.Please upgrade the sound system for your piano players, and maybe benches (or more display toilets).Great store.”

“The staff is absolutely wonderful. They answered all my questions and directed me to the ice melt section without any issues. They also allowed me to leave the cash register and come back to get an additional box of ice melt and were patient and waited (this was around 7am so barely any customers were in the store). The staff was smiling and had a great energy for being super early in the morning. This was also the final store where I could find pet-safe ice melt, I went to 4 prior and found nothing. Menards is the best!”

“Sometimes service is good, sometimes not so good. If you know what your looking for, then you just have to look for the stuff on the shelves. Otherwise you have to ask staffs which some are helpful and some just gives basic info. Was here to buy painting stuff and the guy was very helpful. And the power tools were looking for was available. Great store.”

“Best Home Depot I’ve been in in awhile. The customer service was amazing. Marilyn/Lynn and Marvin went above and beyond right from the start to make the trip easy and smooth. I went down another aisle and another teammate helped me find something in minutes. This store is worth going out of your way to go to- friendly, well stocked, easily to get around and helpful team. “I usually shop at the West Niles HomeDepot. However I like to come here exclusively for the cute patio pond they have here!Whoever thought of it and got the idea going props to them! “It may be easy to pick on the Home Depot. It’s big, sometimes help is hard to find, an employee may be surly.I haven’t checked, but I’m guessing the review rating of this place is somewhere around 3. When something bad havens, people are quick to leave feedback. But when it’s good we just carry on with our day.I really like this Home Depot. The staff is filled with a lot of young people who are quite pleasant and competent. True, it may be hard to find stuff but the place is big. And prices are low; I don’t expect to find contractors working there with 25 years of experience!I recently rented a truck for 3 hours and 43 minutes. It cost me 80 bucks plus tax. That’s about 20 dollars an hour. That’s great. And the truck drove well, and was in good condition. It was a comfy ride and big. The young man at the rental desk was very nice on a very cold day.I asked a woman for help solving a problem. She walked me around the store until we found the perfect solution: a roll of insulation. I wish I had gotten her name. Any way, she knew the store and put on her thinking cap until we found just what I needed.Another young woman helped me find a washer in plumbing. Now it may be easy to dismiss a young Latina with a fancy hair style as not being a competent plumber, but she knew her area that’s for sure.The tool area in this store is big and the aisles are wide, which I’m not used to at a Home Depot.This store is around the corner from a nice mall as well.I get what I need at this Home Depot quickly and at a good price. The shopping experience is good. What more do I need from a store? Nothing.Thanks, Home Depot! And thanks rental guy and Latina gal and air conditioner insulation gal. You’re a credit to your company. If I find out their names I’ll let the company know that they’re doing well.”
