“After weeks of driving by and never stopping my curiosity finally caused me to conquer the parking challenge and check it out. I’m sorry I hadn’t done that sooner. I’ve visited most every plant shop in Chicago area and I have to say that this one has the most impressive collection of hard-to-find, “destination” plants as well as more common varieties of indoor and outdoor plants from pothos to huge cacti. Almost every plant on my list that I’ve scoured others stores and sites for were here- and at unbelievably reasonable prices. The plants are beautifully categorized and owner/workers readily available w advice or answers. All the accessories too. Unusual pots and planters. Highly recommended for a leisurely, no pressure shopping or “just looking” experience. I’m returning often. Pair it with lunch at the Flying Saucer vegan-friendly restaurant next door for a delightful afternoon.”

“If you are looking for the best place to buy a plant this is the place. Marcus is incredibly knowledgeable and cares about the success of your plant. He spent hours explaining the process of planting and caring for our tree and actually did the planting for us at the end to make sure it was done correctly. Everything turned out perfect and he is such a perfectionist that he made sure every last detail was right. He even put a video together at the end explaining what he did. Beyond impressed with this company and Marcus. Would highly recommend to everyone!”

I’ve been let down by other shops when I’m in a pinch, but Primrose consistently executes high-quality work on tight turnarounds. Just don't flood them with your own last-minute orders and clog up my avenue. I'm only half-kidding. The real value, though, is in the premium arrangements. When you actually plan ahead and opt for the higher-end stuff, the quality is undeniable; easily the best I’ve seen at such reasonable rates. Reliable, competent, and they’ve only gotten better over the years. If you want it done right, this is the spot.”

“I have wanted to visit this spot but was skeptical because I read several reviews saying that they were expensive. But I visited yesterday and glad I did. I can have my own opinion now! First off, expensive compared to what? If being compared to a big box store, such as the Home Depot, then yes, the plants are expensive. BUT I wouldn’t recommend getting plants at the Home Depot. All my plants, except a few gifted to me, come from well trusted nurseries. Now, this place was huge! A lot of variety and very decent prices. The bigger plants are priced nearly in the $100+ range but that is well expected for a healthy and mature plant. I personally walked out with a decently sized )probably 2-3 feet long) Monstera Deliciosa for $30! After choosing a clay pot, saucer, soil and a few small terracotta pots I paid around $50 (well, my partner did as a gift to me). Glad I visited and formed my own opinion! -only the Monstera in the picture was from Gethsemane”

The shop was Cute, small, plants were reasonably priced and the cashier was very knowledgeable and helpful . I would absolutely come again!”

“I have a friend who is a passionate gardener as myself, so when her special 'milestone' birthday came along, I wanted to send her something she could eventually plant in her yard rather than a floral bouquet. I chose a pink azalea. Though I live in the western suburbs, I wanted to find a florist in her Jefferson Park neighborhood. I chose Wall's Flower Shop on Higgins but the website was redirected to Donna's Garden Flower Shop near Pulaski & Peterson. I spoke to Avi on the phone and he was extremely helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. This floral shop was extremely conscientious about delivering this fragile plant in the midst of our cold January weather. They called my friend and made sure she was home to receive it. She was extremely excited and thrilled to receive her gorgeous plant full of pretty pink buds. I will definitely recommend Wall's Flower Shop/Donna's Garden Flower Shop to all my Chicago friends!”

I talked to Ed Hester, Design Consultant at Home Depot on Elston Avenue in Chicago, IL on March 16, 2023, and he called Daltile in Elk Grove, Illinois. (I had given him the tile manufacturer as well as the SKU number). As Ed patiently tracked it down online, he simultaneously talked to an associate at Daltile. And he found my discontinued tile!! I ordered it today and will pick it up on Monday. Kudos to Ed Hester, Home Depot employee extraordinaire!!”

Everytime I went there during my recent visit to Chicago (to setup my daughter’s condo) there would be more than one person willing to help - and they will not just stop by telling the isle number where I would find my stuff, rather will come and talk. I came to know that are even part time PhD students working there. Even their return customer service team was so helpful. So nice to go back there if I have to again.”
