I also take strays I find here to get checked for a chip, looked at and ready for me to find them home. Best Veterinarian and team I’ve ever encountered and that is why even though I have moved I always make the drive here. I trust them, they’re reliable, organized, knowledgeable and thorough. On Dec 23rd Dr. Velkov did an emergency procedure right before the holidays because he didn’t want her to suffer through Christmas. We are so grateful and she is recovering very well. Amen ? God bless you sir ? Doctor Velkov was very detailed in explaining everything about the surgery and his sense of urgency to help was truly heart warming. You can tell he actually genuinely cares about his patients. 100% recommend him to anyone.

10929 S Cicero Ave, Oak LawnI trust Dr. Senese implicitly with anything having to do with my dogs. She’s extremely knowledgeable and always has my dog’s best interests in mind. She is so very kind and compassionate, and has the patience of a saint! The entire staff at the clinic are wonderful too. I recommend Dr. Senese to literally everyone and a bunch of my friends and family have switched to her. They all say the same thing- they’re so happy they started going to her! I cannot say enough good about Suburban Animal Hospital- I am incredibly grateful for them!

I took my sister, who I love so much, to visit this special cafe that is owned by Casandra in partnership with her sister and mother and inspired by Casandra’s Abuelita Coco. To learn more about their beautiful story please go to their website. https://abuelitacoco.com/about-us My sister who also loves a good story as well as delicious Mexican food was pleasantly surprised by this fairly new addition to Oak Lawn a community we grew up near. From the moment we walked in we did not feel as if we walked in to a restaurant but that we entered the home of family as we were greeted so warmly. Casandra shared her story with my sister and we settled in to a delicious dinner. These are the delicious dishes and drinks we enjoyed. I can not praise one over the other they were all made from scratch with the finest ingredients. But, I have to say that the fish taco was so fresh & tasty! I thought I was at a stand in Baja! The calamari was unbelievably delicious and tasted like I remember dipped in the homemade cocktail sauce. I had not had calamari since I became vegan over 16 years ago so this brought me back. It was tender, perfectly breaded and tasty ? We enjoyed all of these plant based items: horchata, fish taco, calamari, fresh nachos & guac, mushroom quesadilla with crema and a trio of tacos with rice & beans. The tiramisu ice cream was a delicious surprise! If you have not been in yet, you must make the journey, if needed ????♂️, and go or go again and often to support this amazing gem of a restaurant in the south suburbs. Ww got the text message that our order was ready, however when we went to the pickup counter they were just dropping the fries. I had to call someone over to find out what was going on, and they weren't the most pleasant.
