I want to take a moment to publicly thank Blue Ribbon Meat Market and its owner for doing something that truly matters in our community.
I just heard about the most wonderful thing about this business—and it deserves to be shared.
So many times, businesses come into our neighborhoods—especially African American and other minority communities—and we show up for them. We spend our dollars consistently. We support them faithfully. We help keep their doors open.
Yet when we have a product or service, too often those same businesses won’t even give us a try. Not a test order. Not a conversation. Not an opportunity.
That’s why this moment deserves recognition.
Blue Ribbon didn’t just take from the community—they gave back. They made the intentional decision to try their commercial dish detergent from Edit Enterprise LLC, and in doing so, they invested financially into a local, minority-owned business from the very community that supports them.
That choice matters.
That decision speaks volumes.

“First time visit to Joseph’s. I purchased their mild & hot sausage along with prosciutto di parma. The older gentleman who took my order was patient and kind despite me coming in a few minutes before closing on a Friday.
I highly recommend Joseph’s, their sausage was so delicious and not salty as many other places are. They are pricer than other locations however it is worth it to support a small business and their high quality meats.
I’m looking forward to returning and being a regular customer.

“I came in to try that NY strip steak sandwich that people have been raving about on Google. The verdict is the hype is real. The NY strip steak is very tender and flavorful. It’s like a medium rare burger, it requires very little chewing. It’s the combination of the French roll, the steak, the grilled onions, and Asiago cheese that truly make it just a great sandwich. Even after devouring it, it’s still on my mind and I wouldn’t mind coming back to try other items on the menu. Customer service is very friendly and attentive. You can tell they care about their customers. Parking is easy, you just have to go into that big lot to the right. Prices are very fair for the quality of meat.”

They have a selection of various hot dogs and sausages. They're famous for their salami. Friendly people. Very old school place. It's like walking into a store from the 50s, which it is.”

“Fast loading. 30mins for paperwork. No biggie. If you are picking up, get here before 5am and they will load you. After 7am they prioritize local restaurants. Then start loading again after 10am. Decent backing in space. Once backed half way you have space to pull forward into a drive way.”

“Drivers coming here to unload, best way I’ve found is to turn north on Nórdica Ave. That would be left if you are coming from Harlem Ave and then back to the side of the building. This way you have easy access to get back on to Harlem. Also they are open at 4am, but won’t unload you until the forklift drivers come. Unloading will be off the street. I hope this helps.”
