“We are so grateful to have had our wedding at the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association (NCCA)! Woody and his team were wonderful to work with - from first touring the venue to clean-up the morning after. Set in the beautiful neighborhood of Oak Park, the NCCA is surrounded by community parks and historic homes by Frank Loyd Wright. We also had easy access to the local hotel to host our guests overnight. This wedding venue is reasonably priced with true historic charm. The food and beverages were excellent. We held our ceremony/cocktail hour on the first floor and reception on the second floor, comfortably accommodating our guest count of 175 people. Woody is responsive and flexible. He is willing to support creative endeavors to make your wedding feel original. We feel so fortunate to have found the NCCA to host our wedding - we would absolutely recommend it to you!”

“The staff here are super helpful and friendly. This is one of the sites in the Chicago area where you can borrow home medical equipment for free for up to 30 days through the Elderwerks Program. There is no residency requirement to borrow equipment. I needed a wheelchair for 6 days to accommodate a relative that was visiting. The wheelchair was lightweight, fit in my car and was super easy to push. Without it we could not have left the house while they visited. This is the second time I have used the elderwerks service. My sister in law had knee surgery and we borrowed two walkers and a commode riser to assist during her recovery. Great program. It Would have cost $45 a day to rent a wheelchair.”

“If you are looking to move to Oak park, absolutely reach out to this organization! Not only did they help me find an apartment, but they also provided valuable insight on what it is like living in here. They answered tons of questions that I had on public transportation, parking, and services available in the area. I feel a lot less anxious about my move after visiting them.”

“Hephzibah as a preschool, is the best one around. I drive in from Cicero. They are super compassionate, hard working, group of people. They work hard to make your life easier. I wish I knew about their school sooner. I wish they ran the Illinois school system. Hephzibah has an Award winning school program. Not a wheelchair (handicap) accessible building. Parking isn't the best, but that is an Oak Park issue, not them.Hephzibah as a group home might be different for kids and adults.”
