“For the price, they're great. Always relatively clean (I still clean upon arrival). Some rooms need refurbishing. They have vending machines, ice, washer & and dryer, and microwave available for use. Internet works great. And they allow pets. We've stayed here twice a year for family events for a few years running and have never had an issue.”

“One of the nicest Motel 6 in the Chicgoland area very similar to Prospect Heights location, price is extremely reasonable for having King size beds, full cable with all movie channels, staff is very helpful, have stayed there for extended periods and in my opinion managment holds certain guests to higher standards than others, Ex. We recently have been without a vehicle for transportation which makes taking our belongings with us for the day when we leave very troublesome, the staff was very accommodating allowing us to leave our couple bags behind the desk in the corner well 12-23 I was struck by a vehicle as a pedestrian and was unable to return for our belongings for almost a week, when we did return we were politely informed we wouldn't be able to do that again, we were forced to leave them in the stairwell on the side exits, shortly there after we were told not to do that so we left it under a table in the laundry room were told we would be banned if we left our 2 bags anywhere inside the hotel so we were forced to leave them outside on the back of the building we did that for 2days when the 3rd day they were not there and we were informed they were taken from outside the building and locked in a room that couldnt be accessed until the morning so we had a room paid for but no clothes food or hygiene products etc, all of that would be fine and dandy if after not returning for almost 2 weeks my wife was told she and I would be Banned this time for a number of petty violations, but the more alarming matter was my wife informing me that the Manger had told her that I was bringing her down and using her and if she was her daughter she would have something to say about it, this was shocking news since I've been with my wife for 10years put her threw school bought her a car and was welcomed into my own family as blood my father became ill and allways considered her his daughter and she called him Dad, been rough the past 2years just trying to navigate daily life and make 2 ends meet. I'm fine with all the other things but to personally attack me behind my back without knowing a single thing about me my wife or our situation and to make assumptions and basically call me trash was the breaking point also being told not to ask for money as if we were some sort of gypsy vagabonds begging any and everyone for money when In fact less than a handful of times we asked if a quarter or less than a dollar could be spared for a bus ride, we were again told we would be banned for this unacceptable and inappropriate behavior mind you my wife literally cleans the room daily wiping everythingng down making the bed emptying the garbage its actually frustrating to me as it's a hotel and people are paid to do it but it makes her happy so what can I say. One night I saw a guest who frequented the hotel curled up in the fetal position with his dog sleeping In The 2nd floor stairs i told my wife and she the next morning informed management. I was a little confused when they told her that was highly unlikely since the person in question didn't even have a room at the hotel currently.... I mean which is why he was sleepin in a hallway. It's sad that certain people go out of there way to find something wrong or create a problem that doesnt exsist, it is suppose to be a hospitality industry but I see them speak to certain Individuals without patience or banning them simply for the sake of not letting the "riff raff" overstay its welcome with the "business folk". I never took it personal until comments were made about my relationship and I've never spoken to some of the employees, there are a few exceptional employees who pay attention to guest needs remember guests personal preferences and are allways kind and courteous mainly 2nd Shift work a few exceptions”

“Indoor and outdoor pool a huge plus. Rooms were smaller than I'm used too. The facility is attached attached to a theatre which was playing "gypsy" and I was not asked to be in the chorus line (rude)”

“Excellent hotel, you get a free drink before 7pm check-in, and the breakfast was really great. There is even a station where they can make you eggs any way you like or they can make you any omelet. See pic. Room was excellent and spacious too.”

“What a wonderful stay. !!From the decorations in the lobby and hot cider. The warmest pool I’ve ever swam in at a hotel. The cleanest bathroom in the room . You really feel comfortable .The manager Jamie was so helpful, always detailing the lobby area to make everything look perfect. This is a 5 star stay! Very quiet,, great for a good nights sleep. You have to love having the heater, air, unit not in the bedroom for a great nights sleep. Plus the full fridge, living space. Our New Favorite place to stay and we’ll always look for a Homewood Suites hotel.”

“I used the hotel for my conference. It suited my needs and Susan and Melody were very accommodating. The gentleman who were there that day also were attentive and helpful. So glad everything worked out. Thank you so much for your service.”

“The best thing about it is that it was very convenient to where I was needing to be. Also, the breakfast is absolutely stellar – the best I’ve seen anywhere. the bed is very nice, But the sofa and chairs aren’t very comfortable.. Upkeep on the whole place is below average—There’s always something wrong with something. it took days to get a microwave delivered to my room. The people at the desk range from being very pleasant and engaging to downright rude. I will say that the manager went out of his way to help me replace meds that the housekeeper had inadvertently knocked into my sink. That was super.”

“Google listing here shows (free) breakfast but it’s actually roughly $15 for sub par breakfast it’s just scrambled eggs basic toast cheap sausage Patty. You can have a better breakfast at McDonald’s for cheaper. so on top of the false advertising the TV is very outdated and out only has 40 channels and the room is relatively small. The lobby is decorated nicely and gym and pool did not give me any issues. Staff is also very friendly but when checking in just gave me my key card and provided no information.10 minute drive go to dawg park for the best hot dogs in the area and enjoy live music next door at the parkSecond floor has laundry for $1 in coins per use of machine.Beds and pillows are comfy at least to my standards and A/C in room is extremely efficient so it’s not all bad.Food & drinks: $15 cafeteria style breakfast - sausage Patty scrambled eggs, toast, potatoes. 1 of my 12 days here they served bacon”

“The lady at the front desk was so kind and accommodating, she helped me out when the 3rd party booking website booked me for 3 rooms instead of just the 1 I needed. Rooms were spotless as well, will definitely be coming back, thank you!”

“Great hotel and stay, but as it’s getting cold at night, and having coffee throughout the day isn’t important as coming in at 5:30 in the evening and the coffee is old and not hot at all. 5 stars if you brewed coffee for your guest return each day in the evening around 5pm. So every checkin during the cold evening is greeted with cold coffee. This is an easy fix. I’ll be back in a week or two.Signed A lifetime diamond member.”

“I must say, the Vernon Hills Extended Stay is by far the finest I have been so lucky to stumble upon. Great location, clean and cordial.I would like to highlight an employee I’ve noticed perform her duties flawlessly.Tehya at the front desk is exceptional. She has amazing multitasking skills, knows exactly how to fix any problem I have brought to her attention, while also working with other residents simultaneously! The best part is, she does it all with an amazing attitude.I will most definitely, not only stay here again, but recommend this location to peers- which has a lot to do with how Tehya has treated me during my stay, and furthermore, what I’ve observed how she treats others as well.Great work Tehya!”

“The rooms could use some updating but ours was very clean as were the lobby and hallways. The mini fridge was not working but they had ice available. The eating area for breakfast was large and comfortable. Special mention should be given to the lady that was in charge of the breakfast area. Even with all the people getting food she kept the food area spotless and well stocked.”

“First time in a long time to stay at 2xtree. Lots of real oak appointment s in the lobby and and craftsman style touches throughout. Used the phone app for checking in and room access. Pretty good for an old timer. Very reasonable price point. This locationoffered the pet friendly perk, which was fine till the little critter next door started singing to us in the AM. Not sure how I feel about that.Didn't get to the updated cocktail lounge/bar in the evening of our stay, but opted for the moderately priced continental bkst in the nearly empty restaurant rather than the buffet in the morning. The selection was reflective of the modest price... you get what you pay for. The setting, however, was soothing with the water feature and subdued colors and unique lighting.Rooms were clean as always, and the pillows and bedding the usual superior quality. Looks like the Double is adopting the high tech touch and minimalist (conservation) with the amenities. Bathroom had the full bottle options in the shower and only one bar of soap at the sink. We can share. Also noticed no glasses at the lav.Still offered the hot morning coffee bar in the lobby (my preference), though my wife was impressed with the taste of the brew-your-own in the room.Hardly a soul around, but the pool and workout room looked inviting, though I didn't have time to partake in either. All in all, a brief but pleasing stay. What I've grown to expect from Doubletree.”

“I travel to Chicago monthly. On this trip, I didn't have my debit card since mine expired and I haven't received the new one so I was paying with cash. The place I usually stay were so rude to my family so we went across the street to Motel 6. Not only was the room half as much, the staff was amazing. They went beyond what is needed and treated us great. It is now the 1st place we will try on our monthly trip back home. Plus, they take cash if you don't want to give them a card.Rooms: Very clean, large bathroom and a refrigerator. Not the fanciest place but well worth the price.Nearby activities: The 90 is right around the corner making it easy to get anywhere in the city via the expressway. There's also a Guitar Center close if you need strings or sticks it's close.Food & drinks: Any type of food you want is no more than 10 minutes away. They even have room service.”

“This is a unique hotel with 3 different buildings that lets you choose between walk-up style suites or your typical hotel environment. Quiet, very clean, and rooms large enough to feel like a small apartment. The staff was very nice. It's a prime location where you'll find everything you need in a short radius. I enjoyed my stay and look forward to staying here again.”

“Stayed 3 nights, they let me check in early, and rooms were clean and warm.Service was great, except the breakfast people were a bit slow, so give yourself plenty of time.”

“This hotel had no convenient way to even get ice when we needed it. No microwave in room. No access to coffee or water on going like most hotels. Breakfast vouchers for food. Covered hardly anything. Not even a cup of coffee. Same rates for dogs one day or a week. Hardly seems fair. No bath or whirlpool only a shower I know for a fact there are much better family friendly hotels in the area. This is not one of themFood & drinks: Poor choices and flexibility”
